As young teens, Silverchair blew the hinges off the door to stardom with severely sweet (yet simple) rockin' guitar work on their mid-90s album Frogstomp. Remember "Tomorrow?" That junk was battery acid bad back in the day. Silverchair's career went a little flat after Frogstomp. Their albums weren't doing too well in the mainstream. Lead singer/guitarist Daniel Johns was having some mental issues or something. But who could blame him? He had a rough time being a rock star at 14-years-old. Actually in the back of my mind I'm thinking, "Yeah, poor fellow. I would have totally hated being on MTV at 14." But, again, he was just a kid. The older Silverchair has no excuses left. 2007-03-30 09:19:00 Hablemos de los australianos Silverchair y su nuevo disco de estudio llamado "Young Modern"He leido un montón de crÃticas, diciendo que el disco es una basura, que ya no hacen rock sucio de guitarras, que ya no hacen grunge en definitva...Teniendo en cuenta que los tres miembros de la banda nacieron en 1979 y que ya tienen 5 Lp´s de estudio.....creo que tienen la oportunidad de explorar nuevos caminos sonoros.De entre todas las canciones que escuché me gusta mucho "All Across the World" que os dejo en el podomatic del blog.Seguiremos escuchando!Por cierto, esta es el post numero 1000.
