2007-07-07 00:23:00 Decir Simply Red equivale a decir Mick Hucknall, su vocalista y lÃder indiscutible. Mick Hucknall nació el 8 de junio de 1960 en Manchester. A principios de los 80 se une a una banda Punk llamada Frantic And The Elevators. Juntos grabaron varios sencillos, entre ellos, la balada "Holding Back The Years", un tema que más tarde Hucknall incluyó en el primer disco de Simply Red.En 1983 el grupo se disuelve, y Mick forma un nuevo grupo, junto a Sylvan Rycharsond (guitarra) y Fritz McIntyre (teclista). Los tres empezaron a grabar maquetas. Un año después se les unieron tres ex-componentes del grupo Durutti Colunm, el bajista Tony Bowers, Tim Kellett (vientos) y Chris Joice (baterÃa).
