Bye, Bye, Bye - Sissoko
2008-01-29 19:53:00 I wish him all the best but Momo Sissoko isn’t a player I’m going to miss at Liverpool He arrived in a torrent of praise at Anfield, played well for the club when he had the chance but he’s nowhere near the level of Gerrard, Alonso and Mascherano. When he was injured, I didn’t miss him. When ... SHARETHIS.addEntry({ title: "Bye, Bye, Bye - Sissoko", url: "http://liverpool.footballacces-s.com/2008/01/29/bye-bye-bye-si-ssoko/" });

SISSOKO SEALS JUVENTUS SWITCH
2008-01-29 16:02:00 Jimmy Rice 29 January 2008 Liverpool Football Club have this afternoon confirmed the sale of Momo Sissoko to Juventus. The Mali international is away at the African Nations but took time out for a medical and talks over personal terms. Sissoko spent nearly three years at Anfield, arriving from Valencia in July 2005 amid comparisons with Patrick Vieira. His all-action style ensured he quickly became a fans' favourite. The 23-year-old was one of the star performers in the club's FA Cup final victory over West Ham in 2006. Two serious injuries ? to his eye and shoulder ? disrupted his form but there's no doubting the quality he displayed in his first two seasons at Anfield. Sissoko leaves the club after 86 appearances and a single goal ? a 25-yard strike against Sunderland earlier this season. from Liverpoolfc.tv

Liverpool Want ?15m For Sissoko
2008-01-08 11:08:00 Everything seems to point out towards a smooth negotiation between Liverpool and Juventus for the transfer of the defensive midfielder, Italian daily sports newspaper Tuttosport states. With the Reds willing to sell the player in January at a price of ?15m, the Bianconeri are set to send director of sports Alessio Secco to England in the coming days to finalise the deal.However, before doing so, the Old Lady is still looking around to see what other players are available, as the club has a budget of ?20m for this transfer window, and will therefore search for other deals before going for Sissoko.The main problem is that if the transfer of the Mali international does not go through in January, the value of the player might increase or that Liverpool make him unavailable if Rafa Benítez were to leave the club.Thereforen, Juventus will have to be extra careful not to lose out another on player in the transfer market following the latest setbacks.

I was seven years of age when I started playing football, and when I was 14 I started taking the sport more seriously. How did you start your career? I started playing in small local French teams; nothing big, just normal. I started playing for a club, like kids do, then I was spotted by the coach of Auxerre, who came to my house and asked if I'd like to play for Auxerre. You were not heard of until you signed for Liverpool FC, what was your first reaction when Liverpool were interested? Yeah, for sure I was not heard of, and then I hear Liverpool FC are interested! Sissoko Out Until New Year
2006-12-01 04:40:07 Its going to be January before we see Momo Sissoko back in action after the Malian midfielder dislocated his should after taking a heavy fall last night against Birmingham. Reports from the club are suggesting that he’s going to require surgery, due to take place at some stage next week in order to repair the damage done to his shoulder. You might remember Damien Duff having the same problem at Chelsea last season? Not something you like to see. In other injury news, ex-Red Djimi Traore is on the road to recovery and has been given the green light to return to full contact training by Charlton after suffering a fracture in his left leg at the start of September. Best of luck to him in the recovery. Advertisement: Liverpool Tickets Premiership & Champions League

Medial Ligament Damage For Sissoko
2006-08-23 19:33:08 A statement on the club’s website this afternoon has revealed that Momo Sissoko has made a tear to the medial ligament in his left knee after falling in last nights game against Maccabi Haifia. He’s not expected to play any part against West Ham (obviously enough) and is out for a few weeks. While there is a hope that he will play against Everton, with Gerrard, Xabi Alonso and Luis Garcia all looking well I don’t think we’ll see him in action until Chelsea at the earliest. “Momo had a scan today which showed a tear of the medial ligament in his left knee. We do not expect him to be able to play or train for the next two weeks”, said Ian Cotton earlier. Sissoko left Kiev yesterday on crutches to get a scan after the game. While we have definite news on Momo, there’s no word to the extent of the injury to Stephen Warnock though he is likely to be out for at least two weeks as well.
