2006-10-07 03:06:01 Yesterday I have finally watched the third and thankfully last part of the new Star Wars Trilogy and I honestly cannot understand the hype around the movies. In my personal opinion they are just “okay” sci-fi movies, not very good, but not too bad either. First of all Episode 3 was far too long. Shortened to 90 minutes it would have been fun, but with over two hours I almost fell asleep twice. The strange thing about the visual effects is that they have been far too obvious. I am a fan of CGI stuff and special effects, but they shouldn’t be recognizable. In Star Wars though every single frame was edited and most of the time they filmed the actors in front of a green screen and that didn’t look very real. Actually I caught myself several times saying “that looks unreal”. As I said that doesn’t make the whole movie bad. It is still an amazing epic with a wonderful Hayden Christiansen (good looking and well good looking) and beautiful, though n... |
