Half a sixpence
2008-02-14 08:15:00 A few TFN groups are banning people who use Grouply. This could be considered an opportunity for organisations such as Reuseit to capitalise and create new groups for these people. If TFN does not want these members then perhaps they can freecycle elsewhere. What a different place the world would be if TFN membership halved? ...

2008-01-20 18:29:00 January 20, 2008 — Restructure your life from top to bottom. Throw out everything that no longer serves a purpose and in doing so make room for new and more valuable things to come in. You were born on the cusp of conservative Capricorn and radical Aquarius but you must lean more to the latter this year. There are the types of personalities who get fixated on particular times of year. For some it may be Christmas with an overload of holly and ivy to make even Santa seem like public enemy #1. Or maybe Halloween is the obsession of choice with full fledged jack o'lantern excess. For me? Ever since I was old enough to remember, it was all about the natal day. Not like I needed an extra excuse to focus my OCD for a good cause, but it was just plain fun. Sixpence None The Richer - Kiss Me (1999)
2007-05-24 12:31:00 Named in honor of a passage from C.S. Lewis' Mere Christianity, the Austin, TX-based CCM trio Sixpence None the Richer began taking shape in the early '90s, when guitarist Matt Slocum first met vocalist Leigh Nash (nee Bingham) at a church retreat. Initially a trio rounded out by bassist T.J. Behling, the group recorded a 1993 demo which led to their signing with the R.E.X. label; their debut LP, The Fatherless & the Widow, appeared soon after. With rhythm guitarist Tess Wiley, new bassist J.J. Plasencio and drummer Dale Baker, Sixpence None the Richer toured before returning to the studio to record their sophomore effort, 1995's This Beautiful Mess; the Tickets for a Prayer Wheel EP followed later that same year. Both Wiley and Plasencio exited prior to the group's next LP, an eponymously titled effort issued in 1997. Two years later, the band achieved their greatest success with the single "Kiss Me." The song was featured on the third season to the WB drama Dawson's Creek and... |
