2009-02-01 18:49:00 I had a date last night. With a girl. Absorb that for a moment…think about all it entails…yes I did say tails…and we’re back. At first, I was afraid I’d been stood up. I sat outside Skipper’s Smokehouse for a few minutes and then toured around inside the place. Didn’t see Sara anywhere. Thinking I’d seen the whole place, I returned outside to wait. Turns out, I didn’t know Skipper’s like I thought I did. I’d been in the restaurant section a few times. A dozen or so booths and tables, lots of dead fish on the menu, but free WiFi for those days when I don’t have a date. The outside area is divided into two sections. A small area contains about 25% of the bar and two tables where you can die of the heat or cold, depending on the night, choke on cigarette smoke, and listen to the live music playing nearby. He has excellent bloodlines, he is the great grandson of Jetalito (famous paint horse), and Skipper W (famous Quarter Horse). He is very flashy, and gets praised by everyone who sees him. I hate to get rid of him, but he needs to be ridden more than I am able to. I was in an accident 2 1/2 years ago, and have a disability in my foot now and have difficulty mounting him because he is so tall for me. I have trail rode him mostly,and round pen work.
