I had been having a great day up until this point and I had headed over to the party to meet a friend and catch The Dexateens and Dead Confederate. By trial and error, I've determined that right at the knee is the best length for me, and pencil or at least "fitted" shape is best. I know...an A-line skirt is **supposed** to be the most flattering for me, but it's really not. I have tried to make this shape work for me, but it doesn't. I believe that's partly because I have HUGE calves and really no ankles to speak of. And I'm short waisted; the A-line just doesn't help me accentuate my waist.... I think some people want to see them disappear (ahem...men?) because they think they are shapeless. But for me, they are so versatile and not at all shapeless.
