He doesn't even follow it up with a barbed punchline. If you’re expecting them to push the boundaries and experiment like on A Ghost is Born, you may be disappointed. If you’re like me, then Summerteeth is the album that wears out your iPod and these songs will be right up your alley. I followed the blogs from Each Note Secure to Idolator who published some of the mixed reviews, including one from Wolf Notes who listened to two tracks and called Wilco’s latest effort “Randy Newman horse shit.” His big gripe is that they aren’t “expanding their sound.” I’m all for musicians experimenting and taking their sound to new heights, but all that guitar distortion gets exhausting.
