Slumber party for young guests?no media involved
2008-06-01 16:39:00
Girlie pink feather playtime shoes…dreamy. Daddy’s dream come true was for us to host two of his young friends for an overnight at his home atop the bluffs. We had the best of times! While I prepared a chicken pot pie, Pop and N. picked iris and peonies from our garden for the table. The girls went into the ...
The Braid & The Slumber Party
2008-04-22 13:41:00
This past weekend, like I mentioned in my earlier post, was hectic with a slumber party among other planned activities we had, but I wanted to give folks a look at the slumber/birthday party festivities first hand. In this video I also feature another tool in my hair styling arsenal--the braid. Take a look and see how this dad braids hair and also take special note of my wife's jump roping skills in the middle portion of the video, you'll thank me for it. 4SN8kutkSjk
DJ Olive's Armory Slumber Party
2008-03-22 15:00:00
THIS EVENT IS CANCELLED Walking through the Armory the other day, my brother summed it all up.. "It's awesome that buildings like this still exist in New York." And I can't think of a better way to celebrate those by-gone day's of architecture and close our this extention of the this years lackluster (IMHO) Biennial then with a tripped out slip over courtesy of one Mr. DJ Olive. Its "an all-night sleepover event inside the creepy/cool Armory Building, part of the ongoing off-site events attached to the Whitney Biennial. Doze off under portraits of old dead people--the vibe is pure Haunted Mansion, all oak and creaking stairways. DJ Olive is presenting his 'Sleeping Pill' series, billed as 'radical anxiety termination.' Kind of like Xanax, dig?" Very limited space. Read More...Digg this | Email to a friend | Reddit

1950s Slumber Party - free XML blogger template

(click for a live preview)Download the XML template: here (zip)Need help installing this? Click herePlease note that I have made my own header image and installed it under LAYOUT > PAGE ELEMENTS. You can do this too - as long as the header image has a background colour of white (to be seamless!) and is 720 pixels wide. Height isn't as important as width, so it doesn't matter how high. This design will come with a plain text header by default.Make sure that you select the following if you want to replace your header with an image:This is what I did (thinking it would be easier than replacing the image path in the code as I have been instructing in my recent designs - the jury's out - I think I prefer the other way as it allows you to be more precise and specific).'tis cute though!

Slumber Party!
2007-12-10 03:16:00
This weekend, we had a slumber party. It was cool. We just hung out at my aunt's and played games, watched DVDs, and ate. It was cool just being with family and friends and playing Big Brain Academy, Smarty Pants and Rockband. And watching Knocked Up (Unrated) Then in the middle of the night, the baby cries, and I woke up. But it was cool. Playing with the kids, and cousins, and boardgames. Trivial Pursuit 90s was cool! - but then Trivial Pursuit 80s was out of my range. The BBC Documentary about Real Dolls was creepy, and sad. It was a nice weekend, just relaxing. -=)

Car Shopping, Isabel Sucks and A Slumber Party
2007-09-25 01:20:00
MM and I went shopping for a new car this weekend. We've decided on a Toyota 4Runner. I love the look of it, it's big enough for our entire family (plus dogs) and the safety ratings are great. Plus, it was just named as one of the Top 10 cars that will drive over 200,000 miles with proper maintenance. All very cool, no? Not only that, but they recently added an optional third row seat, which would be great for when we travel places and have additional guests with us. We want the SR5 4x4 V-8. Saturday MM and I hit the local dealership to check them out. They had 6 on the lot, all in white, and none with a third row seat or in dash navigation. WTF? How can a dealership not have even ONE car with at least a third row seat? We decided to test drive one without, just to check it out, and we were very pleased. Once we got back to the lot, the salesman we were working with said he'd see if he could find one for us today. In the meantime, I heard on the radio they were havin...
Baby doll pyjamas are a slumber party necessity.
2007-09-15 09:16:00
There’s just no way a gal can have a slumber party without wearing those baby doll pyjamas. After all.. isn’t that what those dangerous guys in the leather jackets expect to find when they show up for the panty raid? So far, the martinis were great, the facials were fun and the piercing… well, even if ...

A Prince Albert is a what kind of piercing?
2007-09-15 08:36:00
I know we told Frenchy she could pierce Sandy’s ears tonight, but it seems Sandy wasn’t up for it. Honestly, I don’t know why. It couldn’t have been the pain, since we made sure we 1.  Fed her a couple of those martinis first 2.  Froze her lobes with some really great icecubes. Seriously, check these out. I don’t ...

Slumber party at fracas tonight, no RSVP required.
2007-09-15 00:20:00
In a previous post, I wrote this: “I’m thinking of planning a slumber party for all the great people who’ve been clicking over from the blogtoplist site.” Just a note that the party won’t be starting until later than originally planned… mostly because I’ve got to run out and stock up on beauty masks, cigarettes, liquor, baby ...

Slumber Party
2007-07-23 13:17:00
Well the dust has settled after a few days and nothing has changed. Yep, the Senate Slumber Party was a bust. . Now, none of us really expected anything to come from this exercise in stupidity did we? After all, smoke screens are deployed to cover what is really happening, which with this Congress, is nothing. . The only thing that Dirty Harry did was: . 1. pose as if doing something important . 2. pull an earmark placing date on troop withdrawals from Iraq . 3. swerve to miss legislation that would ban relatives from benefiting from legislation. You know, like his sons and son-in-law. . Oh ya....one more thing....they did manage to make themselves look even more stupid in the eyes of not only American taxpayers, but also the rest of the world. . These are the kind of guys that everyone wants to play poker with. After all they'll tell ya what hand they have and how much they plan on betting and when. May as well play with a stacked deck and the cards laid face up on the tabl...
Robert Byrd?s Speech at the Congressional Slumber Party Demonstrates Why Co
2007-07-18 23:58:00
Amazingly, new polls show just 14% of Americans have a great deal or quite a lot of confidence in Congress. That is the lowest rating ever. Nevertheless, yesterday, the Democrats engaged in the most shameful activity in a long time. In order to trick their base into believing they want to pull the troops out of Iraq, they pulled an all-nighter and now they want a pay raise. Yes, Congress thinks that by dragging cots into Congress and then sneaking out at night to go home, they will convince the public they are against the War in Iraq. Nothing could be farther from the truth. Contrary to popular belief, the resolution that Harry Reid claims will end the Iraq war will do no such thing. In fact, it simply seeks to attain meaningless redeployment. Many, if not most, troops will stay in Iraq. Since that is the case, I think I will leave it to the Generals to decide where our troops are deployed over Nancy Pelosi. It is so pathetic that this Democrat Congress has managed to ...

Neil Sedaka - Calendar Girl A Girl's Slumber Party...
2006-09-22 19:57:00
Neil Sedaka - Calendar GirlA Girl's Slumber Party.I am about eleven years old. I am too old for dolls and too young for boys. It is an awkward time to be a girl. That is, unless you have your absolute best friends around and then all fits into place. This song brings me right back to my bedroom on the third floor in my house in the city. This brings me back to me standing beside my record player and playing this 45 that I just inherited from an old uncle of mine. I would play it over and over and all my girlfriends would take turns dancing, singing and miming out the song. Each time the song played, the campiness of our dancing and our singing would put any Dean Martin Roast to shame. We would squeal and laugh and fall onto my bed and play it again. We would all be wearing our comfortable pj's. We would have our sleeping bags and best junk food littered on the floor. We were young. We had each other. And we had years of friendship under our flannel belts.I grew up in an age before ...
