100 Million Filipinos in 10 Years?
2008-04-19 20:15:00
I just read an article from inquirer.net about our country's population as of this date which is 88.57 million in 2007. This is really alarming. According to Former Health Secretary Alberto Romualdez, we are going at 2 million persons a year and that is part of double whammy with respect to food. Do we have enough supplies to feed the masses mouth; especially the prices of commodities are pricey at this time? On the other hand, an increase of food prices will eventually result in hunger, unhealthy and uneducated children. Do you want our fellow countrymen to suffer? I hope the government will address this problem sooner or later before this problem will get worse. I think our growth spurt will lessen if there's a definite Family Planning Program from the government to the masses. Women in the bottom 20% have been bearing and growing six to seven children while the women in the top 20% are bearing two children in their reproductive lifetime. Poor women were bearing more children th...

Social Science at UCSD
2007-04-09 12:24:00
It's currently 330 am and I have no intention of sleeping, even though I have to wake up at 730 to get ready for three classes in a row, followed by a short gym session, then a 4 hour workday, possibly ending the day with attending the Pre-Law frat rush event. I'm still undecided about it, and if I do, there's a semi-long application I have to fill out before tomorrow eveing. Where I'll find the time, I have no idea. It's not that I don't want to sleep, because believe me I do, it's just that I can't. I spent the first half of my day sleeping on and off to the Flavor of Love marathon, and now my sleeping schedule is all effed up. Tomorrow's going to be a long day, so I better make sure to keep myself caffeinated. I'm not a huge fan of coffee since it tends to give me headaches, tea doesn't seem to do the trick, and I've cut soda out of my diet for quite some time now. But we'll see.I wasn't planning on writing a blog, but I'm waiting for one of my readings to open in A...
Social Science and Promoting BloG!
2007-03-06 15:39:04
Hi friends, Today, I will tell you how I spent the whole day studying Social Science. Well, there are 5 more days to go for the exams to start and the first exam is Social Science. Most of my classmates, except me of course, had started started the final revision for it. So I decided - “For the next 6 days, I will study nothing other than that creepy subject.” There was so much to be done - locate places on maps and practice it (there were 12 maps and about 50-80 places), read the whole book and revise everything…etc…etc.- And till date, I have kept my word(lol… only a day is over). Social Science, now, is one crazy subject for me. It wasn’t so till last year. I lost all my interest in it because of a single teacher. Well, I don’t want to talk about her. She is the worst thing that could happen to me in 10th!!! Anyway, even though I hate this subject, I have to study it to accomplish my aim of getting A1 in all subject. So, I took it as a cha...
