Sohail Tanvir shining in ODI's too
2007-11-11 13:12:00 After a superb twenty20, Sohail Tanvir was not so brilliant in the ODI series against South Africa. It was his first ODI and everybody thought he is capable of bolwing only small spells of 4 overs as in twety20. Probably, due to this he was not chosen in test series. But in the 2nd and 3rd ODI against ODI, Sohail Tanvir has shown he is rising in ODI as well.Sohail Tanvir in second ODI against India at MohaliSohail Tanvir couldn't play the first ODI against India but in the second ODI, he was great. Sohail Tanvir was a bit expensive at first but Sohail Tanvir showed a lot of swing. He took 2 wickets giving 56 runs in 10 overs. This was so great but the problem seemed to be with extras. The way he bowled with left hand was amazing and most batsmen got surprised from his bowling. After a grand success in the world twenty20, Tanvir got a chance to play in the ODIs against South Africa and too got selected for the ODI series against India. He needs to continue his bowling form and even improve it in India.However International cricket fans have not witness another talent of Sohail Tavir and its batting. His aggressive batting was somewhat witnessed in the final of world twenty20 where he hit two sixes to take Paksitan nearer to the target and also in the first ODI against South Africa but thats not enough about him. 2007-10-04 19:58:00 The real Pakistani strengh-fast bowling was really weak against the South Africans in the first test. Pakistan was playing only with two fast bowlers- Umar Gul and Mohammad Asif. They are brilliant but couldn't do any damage in the test. This showed the defect of playing only with two fast bowlers. After the exclusion of Razzaq and Shoaib Akhtar from the team there is one player who deserves this spot and he is Sohail Tanvir.Undoubtly, Sohail Tanvir was brilliant in the world twenty20 and was a real surprise package. Pakistani team repalced Akhtar by Sohail Tanvir about whom no one was aware.
