In my Javascript I keep getting ?submit is not a function?. What did I do?
2008-01-11 15:17:00
If you have a Javascript function, doing some form validation for example, and at the end, it will submit the form, and it suddenly stops working, throwing up an error message in the console box that reads “submit is not a function” then you have probably mis-named one of your form fields. The most common being ...
Sad ....... and something else
2008-01-08 00:03:00
I just got off the phone with my mom. One of my uncles, my dads brother passed away today. He is leaving behind a wife, two children and eight grandchildren. I was not very close with my uncle but I always liked him. He was a nice man who told lots of funny stories. It's so strange for me to think that he's gone. Now when my dad stands around b.s.ing with his brothers at family get togethers there will be one less person in the group. I'm having a hard time picturing it. I'm not making sense now. I don't like to think about the fact that one of my parents siblings has died. It hits too close to home. I don't want to think about the mortality of people I love. I don't want to face the fact my parents are not eternally 25 years old.I don't know. I'm sad, I can't think straight.

BREAKING NEWS (and I wanted to post something else)
2007-12-12 17:06:00
You remember my post "Sorry, I complain (for the last time)" of 25th of October?I promised that I will not complain about my country anymore. And today I am telling you that I am proud to be a Swiss citizen. The Government was elected today. In Switzerland the seven ministers are elected by the United Parliament which has the chamber of the representatives and the chamber of the cantons or states. And the Minister of Justice, belonging to this extremist party I complained about, did not get re-elected. My fellow countrymen (or their representatives) seem to come the their senses. I am extremely pleased. And I want to express my joy. The narrow minded dinosaurus goes. The future is left for the young ones. Among them children who we can build on once they grow. That is why I celebrate with "He shall feed His flock" and "Hallelujah", both from the "Messiah" by Georg Friederich Haendel. Cheap Life Insurance Something Else To Consider
2007-12-05 00:00:00
One source of cheap life insurance is Group Life Insurance. This type of insurance is generally offered through your place of employment. Because many individuals are covered under a Group Life Insurance plan, the rates your employer offers tend to be very affordable. While Group Life Insurance may sound enticing, realize that the coverage being ...
Always Somewhere - and Sometimes, Something Else
2007-11-29 03:14:00
Aaaaannnndddd..... here we go with another cold already. Great. At least it's just me this time - for now (knock on wood). Hmmmm.....gee..... a quick look at my last several posts here reminds me.... things have gotten, shall we say, very formulaic around these parts. A Sweetie Saturday here, a Mama Monday there, here a picture, there a picture, everywhere a health issue... This old New England farmhouse sure is churning out some boring stuff lately. And I do whole-heartedly apologize for that. That being said, I'm not here to make excuses. However, I suppose that's what the following is going to sound like anyway. Here goes nothing... Now that I'm writing practically everyday at 3 separate sites, I suppose I feel the need to compartmentalize a bit, just to help keep myself organized. Here I focus my writings on all things having to do with being a disabled parent with spina bifida (Ha! Isn't that exactly what this very blog was set up to achieve?! How... ironic). Here I focus ...
Oops! Christina Aguilera shows off her bikini! Or is it something else?
2007-11-21 18:04:00
Clebrity News: Christina Aguilera flashes her privates while trying to get out of her car! “I say keep your legs closed. There’s a proper way to make sure privates are kept private. That’s just my personal take on exiting a limo.” Remember that quote? It belongs to Christina Aguilera! If you remember that's the exact words she said regarding the times when Britney Spears, Lindsay Lohan and Paris Hilton exposed their privates to the world! Well how about that! Now it's her turn to bow her head in front of us and complete the quartet! Sure she's got an excuse! She's pregnant! But that's a bit hideous if you ask me! I wouldn't like to see her vagina in times like this! I accept her giant boobs but that's about it! Still i can't be 100% sure if she's wearing any undies or not! I'll let you judge that! Have a look!

Something else to add to your niche blog
2007-09-18 05:53:00
Alright, so you've got your niche blog all nice and prettied up, with relevant AdSense ads in all the right places and even a couple of ClickBank products to boot. Now let's follow the scenario with one of your visitors.Hmm, I wonder _____ (some piece of information your blog talks about). I'll Google it.Oh, the first result here is obviously a sales page, so I'll go with that second one...the blog (here they come!)Hmm...okay, that's kind of what I thought. Alright, time to...wait, what's this?(Visitor sees a flashy ad asking which kind of candy bar they prefer.)Ah, what the heck! I've already found what I was looking for. Might as well play around a bit.*click**Ka-Ching!*What you just heard was the sound of CPA - or, more specifically, PPL.Huh? CPA? How'd we get on the subject of accountants?CPA in this instance refers to "cost-per-action." However, like I said, I'm focusing more on PPL or, Pay-Per-Lead. (I like to focus on the word "pay" rather than "cost" because, for us...
Is revenge something related to anger or something else, and how can we ove
2007-09-06 15:18:00
Is revenge something related to anger or something else, and how can we overcome this problem? Osho's Words:Only the ego can be touched. It is very touchy. If somebody just looks at you in a certain way, it is touched. He has not done anything. If somebody smiles a little, it is touched; if somebody just turns his head and does not look at you, it is touched. It is very touchy. It is like a wound, always open, green. You touch it and the pain arises. A single word, a single gesture -- the other may not even be aware of what he has done to you, but he has touched it.And you always think the other is responsible, that he has wounded you. No, you carry your wound. With the ego your whole being is a wound. And you carry it around. Nobody is interested in hurting you, nobody is positively waiting to hurt you; everybody is engaged in safeguarding his own wound. Who has got the energy? But still it happens, because you are so ready to be wounded, so ready, just waiting on the brink for an...

Police officer or something else?
2007-07-22 15:49:00
Many people believe it's a blessing to encounter an angel. At times, such beings are said to appear to humans in disguise. At some point, you may have sensed an unusual presence and yet, been unable to place it. What about when strangers have reacted in notable ways? Could this have been an angel? Do you ever ask why a certain person appears at a certain time?Very recently, I felt drawn to approach a person I sensed was a female police officer. She wore a uniform and stood smoking outside a building near a concrete building. The strange thing was I began talking to her as if I knew her, though I had never seen her before. We knew we hadn't much time. She was cordial and I struck up a conversation. Of course, it may not seem unusual. You may have chatted with a stranger while waiting for a bus or train. My discussion with this police officer stood out. We didn't talk about the weather. I sensed her presence with my back to her as I read a book seated on a conc...
Self-indulgence or something else?
2007-07-16 07:01:00
Many people dream of success that takes form as the result of self-indulgence. Are you the kind of person who measures success by the way you give into your own desires, passions, and whims, with little or no restraint? Or, would success for you be more about filtering out what is appealing, about resisting temptation and exerting tighter control on your choices? Perhaps success means other things to you?Consider to reach a level of satisfaction in everything you do, you could take the attitude that you will aspire to possess nothing, to desire to become nothing, and to learn nothing. You could also take other stands. To evolve into what you're not, you must make choices that direct you to roles and traits you don't desire to adopt. If you wish to succeed one way or the other, its up to you to define what it means. Choosing the path of self-denial won't likely get you what you want. More often than not, people model habits and choices of those people around them. How do yo...

Something else we all can agree on
2007-06-26 15:50:00
The right and the left are both opposed to the immigration bill which is about to die on the Senate floor and both sides seem to agree that this is about the stupidest thing to ever find it's way into a newspaper.A GOP Plan To Oust Cheney The big question right now among Republicans is how to remove Vice President Cheney from office. Even before this week's blockbuster series in The Post, discontent in Republican ranks was rising. As the reputed architect of the war in Iraq, Cheney is viewed as toxic, and as the administration's leading proponent of an attack on Iran, he is seen as dangerous. As long as he remains vice president, according to this thinking, he has the potential to drag down every member of the party -- including the presidential nominee -- in next year's elections.Removing a sitting vice president is not easy, but this may be the moment. I remember Barry Goldwater sitting in my parents' living room in 1973, in the last days of Watergate, debating whether to lead...

Something else!
2007-06-13 16:12:00
Some of you may have seen an earlier version of this post, relating to the CFJ/CNN European award for the best student news blog. Suffice to say, though, that I am nominated for the award, where I will have to fight off tough competition from France and Serbia.(Even that) is something of a shock really, given that I mostly specialise in strained metaphors and the kind of news most people wouldn't touch with a bargepole covered in their own faeces.Thank you all for contributing not just to this blog but to the emerging Welsh blogosphere in general, which was virtually non-existent (with some notable and excellent exceptions) when I started back in October. As I sit and watch assembly members coax each other into a deep and intensely boring slumber in the Senedd, it's good to know that there's a potentially unlimited space online for lively political debate. The medium has certainly proved itself in recent months and long may it continue. On another note, Rosemary Butler is chairing ...
Give Your Secretary Something Else To Do; iPod Dictation with MemoMic

I would much rather have a 28 year old secretary take dictation then use the iPod MemoMic but using this we can put her to use on other tasks. Lost and Alias: Now Something Else in Common
2007-05-25 21:05:00
J. J. Abrams was of course the creative force of Alias, and he got Lost off to its superb start in Season One. He still is listed as Executive Producer of Lost, but the series was clearly taken over by other creative hands.I have no idea how much, if any, input Abrams had in the extraordinary season finale of Lost this week, but that finale - in particular, the brilliant flip from flashbacks to flashforwards as the prime mechanism of the show - has something strikingly in common with Alias:Both Alias and Lost have now reinvented themselves in mid-series. Alias did that in the middle of its second season. As I discussed in my Night That Alias Reinvented Itself, this was a daring, dangerous, and thrilling move. In one evening, just about everything that Sydney Bristow had been doing reversed itself. She was suddenly no longer a CIA agent working undercover for a rogue unit pretending to be part of the CIA, because, against all odds and expectations, she destroyed that unit.Lost'...

Something Else to Blame the President For?
2007-05-06 13:57:00
It has been said that truth is the first casualty in any war. I ran across this article over my first cup of coffee this morning. http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/2007-0505/ap_on_re_us/parents_at_war- If you don't have the time to read the entire article, it recounts how deployment overseas for custodial military parent has resulted in the loss of parental rights for those divorced service men and women responding to the call of duty. According to the article, the effect for those parents has been that they have suffered a greater loss than those service members in intact marriages. In addition to the missed birthdays, concerts, sports events, etc., some of these parents have lost custody of their children while serving their country. While I am generally sympathetic to the plight of service members, having spent most of my formative years between Fort Belvoir and Quantico Marine Corp Base with church and school friends whose fathers had been deployed multiple times to Vietnam, I have...

GM gives us a glimpse of the production Camaro and something else
2007-04-29 17:41:00
GM released an image yesterday of the three top executives posing in front of a clay model of the 2009 Camaro. Chairman and CEO Rick Wagoner, Vice President Bob Lutz and Fritz Henderson, standing respectively, the pic was captioned "production clay model". The clay model looks strikingly similarly to the Concept, something that doesn't happen often in the automotive world regarding concepts morphing into production models. However, the more interesting part of the image was what was behind the executives.[Source: GMInsideNews]Continued- Article, zoomed in shot of posterSomething that caught our eyes was the barely noticeable poster of what seems to be renderings of a possible future Chevrolet model. GMInsideNews was able to zoom in on the mystery vehicle, and we can definitely tell that it's a Chevrolet with the Chevrolet Volt-style front end. Many people took guesses from the future RWD Impala to a possible replacement of the Chevelle Coupe. We can't put our money on either of t...

In Memory Of : Eddie Cochran - Something Else (1959)
2007-04-17 21:54:00
Eddie Cochran died after a car accident on this day (April 17th) in 1960. Therefore this track as a special tribute, in memory of.Somehow, time has not accorded Eddie Cochran quite the same respect as other early rockabilly pioneers like Buddy Holly, or even Ricky Nelson or Gene Vincent. This is partially attributable to his very brief lifespan as a star: he only had a couple of big hits before dying in a car crash during a British tour in 1960. He was in the same league as the best rockabilly stars, though, with a brash, fat guitar sound that helped lay the groundwork for the power chord. He was also a good songwriter and singer, celebrating the joys of teenage life -- the parties, the music, the adolescent rebellion -- with an economic wit that bore some similarities to Chuck Berry. Cochran was more lighthearted and less ironic than Berry, though, and if his work was less consistent and not as penetrating, it was almost always exuberant.Cochran's mid-'50s beginnings in the recor...

Diabetics found more prone to mild memory problems CHICAGO (Reuters) - Diabetics are at higher risk of getting a type of mild memory impairment that may later develop into Alzheimer’s disease, U.S. researchers said on Monday. Several studies have shown that people with diabetes are at greater risk of developing Alzheimer’s disease.
