How fitting is that? The Sonics orginal name was the Seattle Supersonics, in honor of the Boeing influence in the Region. Actually 2 locations were considered; the other location was in Bellevue, site of the Safeway distribution center. There's a lot to be done before a pro basketball hits a floor in Renton.
