2009-08-21 15:35:00 I had some red peppers left, red lentils were on hand, so I prepared the Red lentil soup with roasted pepper It's a recipe from Rose Elliot, I own a German translation from the Vegetarian Supercook. A simple, but delicious soup using oven roasted vegetables. While the peppers, onions and garlic cool down, cook the lentils until tender. Peel the pepper and blitz with lentils and other vegetables. For seasoning I used just a pinch smoked paprika, giving the soup that extra something. Serve with basil and parmesan shavings. This is my 26th entry for Debbis Souper Sunday. 2009-08-10 11:14:00 My son asked for a soup, because he got some new rubber bands for his braces and didn't want to chew a lot. I chose Cauliflower Soup with Beluga Lentils & Chives another recipe from the vegetarian cookbook by Gabriele Kurz, a native-German chef living in Dubai. The lentils are black, small and tender and look alike the caviar. The lentils are cooked with some carrots, leeks and celeriac. Purée the tender cooked cauliflower with milk and vegetable stock and laddle into a soup plate. Give some whipped cream into the middle and put the lentils on top. 2009-08-10 11:14:00 Click here for the posting in English. Sohn No. 1 wurde zahntechnisch recht heftig verklempnert und wünschte sich eine Suppe, damit er nicht so viel zu kauen hat. Das Rezept der Blumenkohlsuppe mit Belugalinsen und Schnittlauch hatte es mir schon bei Rike angetan, die das Buch hier vorgestellt hat. Netterweise hatte Rike mir das Rezept sogar eingescannt, was mich natürlich nicht davon abgehalten hat, das Kochbuch doch zu kaufen. Für Sohn No. 1 gab es die Suppe ohne Gemüse, für den Rest der Familie mit - aber dafür auf besonderen Wunsch ohne grünen Pfeffer. Geschmeckt hat es allen. Ich habe einfach ein kleines Bund Suppengemüse für die Gemüsemischung verwendet und so enthält meine Suppe Sellerie statt Petersilienwurzel. Wegen ihres Aussehens wurden die Belugalinsen nach dem Kaviar benannt. Sie sind edel, klein schwarz und zart und haben eine kurze Garzeit. 2009-06-25 15:19:00 Als ich bei Rike das hier rezensierte Kochbuch durchblätterte, war es nur noch eine Frage der Zeit, bis mein Widerstand, neue Kochbücher anzuschaffen, brechen würde. Für mich völlig unerklärlich fand sich das vegetarische Kochbuch im Briefkasten. Als erstes habe ich daraus die Spinatsuppe mit Parmesancrisps und saurer Sahne ausprobiert. Eine gute und schmackhafte Möglichkeit den übriggebliebenen Spinat von diesem Gericht aufzubrauchen. Meine jungen Mittagesser waren auch begeistert. Im Original werden die Parmesancrisps in der Pfanne zubereitet, ich habe mich für eine bereits erprobte Backofenmethode entschieden. Natürlich lässt sich die Provençalische Tomatensuppe mit pochiertem Ei auch auf herkömmliche Art und Weise zubereiten. Der Slow Cooker aber hilft der Köchin mit bezahltem "Neben"job, die gleichzeitig mit ausgehungerten Teenagern nach Hause kommt, aus der Patsche: Vor Arbeitsbeginn schnell die Zutaten in den Keramikeinsatz des Küchenhelfers gegeben, die Zeitschaltuhr programmiert und nach getaner Arbeit ausgehungert nur noch die Eier in der heißen Suppe pochieren. 2009-05-02 09:22:00 Asparagus cream soup My sons loved the meatballs more than the asparagus, my husband and I both. In Germany asparagus always means the white "spargel". This year the German spargel season began at Easter and it ends always on June, 24 th. "Cherries red, spargel dead" is an old country saying. To prepare a German White Asparagus Cream Soup you first cook a broth from the peel and trimmed ends adding lemon and sugar. Remove peel and ends and cook the asparagus pieces for about 8 mins in the broth. Remove asparagus, add cream and season with lemon, salt and pepper. Give back the asparagus into the soup, warm through and add meat balls if you like. If you are interested in German Asparagus madness, read this. In Sachsen wurde der Spargel schon während unseres Urlaubs verkauft und ist jetzt in hiesigen Supermärkten zu haben. Ich habe daraus eine Spargelcremesuppe zubereitet. Die jungen Herren - immer noch keine Spargelliebhaber - wurden durch die Brätklößchen versöhnt. Sehr wohlschmeckend, diese Suppe.
