South Carolina Primary Winner IS??
2008-01-20 05:38:00 So who won in South Carolina? John McCain With Huckabee close behind John McCain pulled off a victory which he was not able to do in 2000 against Bush. Does this mean he is the now the Frontrunner? Well it sure gives him the advantage but there still is clearly no Frontrunner in the GOP race. It ...

John McCain wins South Carolina Primary, Fred Thompson is Done
2008-01-20 04:00:00 John McCain has just won the South Carolina Primary. This is the nail in the coffin for Fred Thompson. The only thing we can hope for now is that the candidates that remain will continue to push limited government as the means to get elected rather than populism. It appears that his victory speech did just that. Now let us see if he implements it. I will let you know after Florida who I will... As you well know, every Republican who has won this state in the last 30 years has gone on to win the nomination. South Carolina Primary
2008-01-20 03:17:00 How completely mindboggling to follow the campaign trail and predict the outcome of any one given primary. To my utter amazement Fred Thompson is third with McCain topping the list and Huckabee coming in second. The stats show Romney trailing Thompson with Paul following yet surprisingly ahead of Giuliani with Hunter last on the totum pole. These stats and the ...

2008-01-20 03:15:00 We will update as things go along, so make sure to refresh. Our observations on the results can be found below.Current Results (97% Reporting)John McCain 33Mike Huckabee 30Fred Thompson 16Mitt Romney 15Ron Paul 4Rudy Giuliani 2Duncan Hunter 0South Carolina offers 24 delegates to Republicans.Notes? [8:17PM CST] The race has still not be called for McCain with more than 80% of the precincts already reporting.? [8:24PM CST] Beyond the battle for first between McCain and Huckabee, the fight for third is looking to head towards Fred Thompson. Earlier today there were reports Thompson would leave the race should he not finish a strong third or better tonight, which were later denied by the campaign. They faced similar speculation after a disappointing third in Iowa. Of course, that discussion is continually focused on a candidate's exit from a race is probably a sure sign that things are not going their way.? [8:26PM CST] I should add that the voting problems today in at least one co...
