With your spaceship, your task was to defend the Earth against squadrons of invaders coming from outer space... Well the Human Space Invaders is the second video performance of the Game Over project, directed by Guillaume Reymond.VideoFor the project 67 people sat for almost 4 hours in the theatre of the Espace Nuithonie. After they received colour t-shirts, they simulated the pixels of the game. For each of the 390 pictures, these human pixels moved or not, from one seat to another, following the specific rules they had been given according to their role (canon, spaceship, missile, bunker,...). In this "from the Invaders' perspective" game, swarms of glowing 8-bit Invaders take down 3D cities. The player uses the Nunchuk to control the elusive UFO, and the Wii Remote to direct 300 Invaders. I figured that most classic games would be able to and some of them would be fantastic on the iPod. The two I would like to see on the small screen the most are "Asteroids" and "Space Invaders".Think about it, these games would be perfect for the ipod Click wheel and I'm sure that Apple wouldn't have a problem trying to sell these classic games to iPod users.I'm Sure that Space Invaders would work great with a simple touch on either side of the click wheel moving the Spaceship sideways like in the iPod game "PAC-MAN". Line up a group of boys against a wall, three or four rows deep. These players must shuffle from side to side (hopefully en masse) progressing forward one step only when they have shuffled a required sideways distance. The game player stands facing them from a distance of 15m or so with a collection of footballs. These he fires one at a time at the advancing hordes of invaders.
