2008-04-25 00:11:00 I spoke too soonI was far too smug in yesterday's post. Yesterday at this time I thought we would breeze through the week without missing having the television on at all. Obviously karma has arrived to teach me a lesson. We were doing really well without TV... until this afternoon. Things have taken a dramatic turn.The TV has remained off, however the kids are going a little stir crazy. My son is still resolved to win a prize. Yet they are getting restless and bored. It doesn?t help that it has been raining all week. It is too cold, damp and wet to go outside to play. So we are stuck in-doors. They are beyond tired of their toys and of each other. "What can we do mom?" is starting to sound like a chant. They are not likely my suggestions either... of course my last idea was for them to clean their rooms... :o)I think if we make it through Friday alive we will be okay. Up for an hour and a half, down for three and so on and so on. After a while it goes from being really frustrating to being just down right silly. It's kind of pathetic how much we depend on the internet to accomplish anything isn't it? I really feel sorry for the companies that require access to operate. My insurance agent has been having a fit. It seems they are not allowed to keep hard copies of anything anymore. All of their records are stored digitally online. According to him, a digital copy is as good as an original if the original does not exist. So, they scan every document and upload it to the corporate server then shred the original. 2007-11-14 10:00:00 Well folks!MalaysiaKini had just released a spanking brand new video today. The video is all about BERSIH?s mass rally but this time their focus is different. It is no longer about the scenes of the rally or the aggression made by the authorities against the rally participants.This time around, MalaysiaKini gave us the opportunity to hear for our own selves the voices of the common people who had participated in last Saturday?s huge mass rally. I have taken a look at it and particularly like that one scene where we have one rally participant said that our election process ?dilacurkan? by the powers that be. Boy, he really nailed it right on the dot there! :-) Yeah, this is one fine example where our own native Bahasa sometimes can put the message across the board better than any other languages.Good work, MalaysiaKini.
