The Bulls won 92-85, shooting only 41% from the field, but grabbing 52 rebounds in the game, and holding the Spurs to only 42%. In the two games the Thunder have won, the Spurs shot about 24% from the three point line. The Spurs take jumpers 72% of the time, teams should clog the perimeter. Then, the Spurs can't get their role players involved and must penetrate or throw down to Tim Duncan.Besides Tim Duncan, do the Spurs have a legitimate back to the basket scorer? I guess Drew Gooden can get you solid post offense, but other than that, they mostly have jump shooters. You also have guys who penetrate in like Parker and Ginobili. You need long, quick guys to defend them, but you know they're going to get their points eventually.So, I'd approach it this way: never help off of the shooters, never double in the post (unless you have limited size) and make the Spurs big three score. I thought that the Spurs would come out with lots of energy, but it took a bit of time for them to get going. I think once they were able to run and get Manu open jumpers, everyone was very confident.I saw a couple of things the Lakers can do to get a road win on Tuesday: make free throws, get the bench rolling and don't run a modified version of the triangle, otherwise known as the Kobe-triangle. 2008-05-24 07:57:00 Friday night's Lakers-Spurs game was a blowout, no doubt about it. Even with Tony Parker's NBA Wife, Eva Longoria-Parker cheering her team on, the Spurs couldn't make the type of heroic comeback the Lakers did against them. Los Angeles now sits pretty with a 2-0 series lead on the defending champs. But we've been here before right?Keep in mind New Orleans held the 2-0 advantage over the Spurs and also homecourt advantage last round. The Spurs stayed in it, winning all their home games and then doing what they needed to do to take Game 7 in New Orleans. Difference here is the Lakers have the reigning MVP and veteran star power from Kobe, Odom and Gasol. Derek Fisher adds yet another ring wearer as he's been a part of Laker's championships.
