2008-05-27 18:49:00 “Stay Hungry Stay Foolish” - those was the parting words of Steve Jobs for his commencement speech at Stanford in 2005. I chanced upon his inspiring speech on youtube, and thought I would share it with you here. Life is about connecting the dots, and you can only do it when you look back, never when you look forward. Believing that the dots will somehow connect in the future will give you the confidence to follow your heart. Sometimes, life is going to hit you in the head with a brick. Don’t lose faith. You got to find what you love - and that is true for work as well as for your lover. Your work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what is great work. And the only way to do great work is to love what you do. If you live each day as if it was your last, someday you will most certainly be right. Remembering that he will be dead soon is the most important tool Steve uses to help him make the big choices in life. ...

2007-07-08 07:22:00 Stay Hungry Stay Foolish this is the message from Steve jobs.Probably one of the most inspiring people of our time Steve Jobs is the man who created Apple out of his own garage but was sacked by the board of Apple which led to Apple's decline but he again returned back to Apple to create History all over again with iphone and ipods. He gave an amazing speech at Stanford where in he talks about three stories of his lifeFirstly how he quit college and had to sleep on the floor of his friends dorm and return coke bottles to buy food but still took classes which interested him which meant doing a calligraphy course which told him all about fonts and was the basis of Macintosh's great design years later this he calls connecting the dots.Again, you can't connect the dots looking forward; you can only connect them looking backwards. So you have to trust that the dots will somehow connect in your future. You have to trust in something -- your gut, destiny, life, karma, whatever...

2007-06-03 22:31:00 Thanks Duilio Believe it or not, I did not know who Steve Jobs was before watching the video below. Now I know that this character turns out to be somewhat controversial, personal trait intelligent men have always shared. But it was precisely that, not knowing who this man was, which allowed me not just to stick to the substance of his great 2005 Stanford Commencement Speech but also to enjoy it big time. The best part is at the end.
