Let that sink in for a moment. That seems preposterous even to me after all the writing I have done about living with anxiety and depression. I may be on medication right now for anxiety and depression, but this medication has been prescribed by doctors at community clinics for the last fourteen years after I had a run of bad experiences with three different psychiatrists in the early 1990s. This is not a route I would recommend. General practitioners are not trained to have expertise specific to mental illness, and although I have been able to remain somewhat even keel with their prescription help, they have done nothing beyond blindly fiddling with pharmaceuticals. Kurt Kempter, the county transit system’s business development director, expects the project to be bid in late winter, with construction work beginning as early as spring. COLTS, Greyhound and Martz will be based there, and a passenger tunnel will connect the center with the Electric City Trolley Museum and Station. 2007-08-15 20:07:00 Is the new iMovie 08 one step forward two steps back? Or maybe just one big misstep. Many of us who have jumped in and had our hands on the new iLife 08 suite may have been seduced in that rush of the moment by the speed and fluidity of iMovie 08s interface. But after getting down to business on it, were quickly finding a bunch of things missing. Im not just complaining about chapter markers, or unnecessary transitions. Im talking about real working methods and needed tools. One of the most glaring is the inability to split audio from video clips. That means its virtually impossible to slide a video clip over a lead-in audio to the next clip. It means you cant take out unnecessary or wrong audio and lay in synchronized new tracks. This dumbing down of a great tool (iMovie) is an apparent big oversight in the great mind we know out here in the hinterlands as Apple.
