I recorded "Dancing With The Stars" and kind of did the "fast forward" through much of this week's DWTS episodes. It has been a bit of a snoozer this year, with a lack of charismatic personalities and an extra dollop of annoying "celebrities" (Adam Carolla is quickly approaching Martin Short's fingernails-on-chalkboard territory) and I just don't understand the slobbering, groveling and total arse kissing of Priscilla Presley (that type of toadying should be reserved for the Aging Disco Diva) I mean seriously...she was married to Elvis...and.....??? She was once beautiful... and... but does that justify sycophantic sainthood? Here are the results: Steve Guttenberg was given the heave-ho in the single-elimination episode. I felt bad for him at the end there. He tried to give a thank you shout-out to the Katrina survivors who showed their support for him (Steve volunteered at the Houston Astrodome in '05 and met many affected by the Hurricane)--but Tom Bergeron had to cut him off because DWTS ran past schedule. Something about the affiliates would have to be apologized to. Well, if they didn't have Samantha Harris talk so much, maybe the eliminated contestant would have a chance to say something!
