An Evening At Stogie's, I
2007-06-26 14:25:00 LAst night I found a new little secret in Cool Springs. Stogie's Ales & Fine Cigars is open for business on Caruthers Lane right north of Baker's Bridge, and let me tell ya...fantastic! Upon entering you are greeted by a few bistro style tables and chairs on the street. I arrived on Monday night, and there were 6-8 other patrons inside. 2 HDTVs were on the wall, although neither was too loud. They are there for those who wanted to enjoy them, but here conversation reigns supreme. The atmosphere is calm, warm, and welcoming. Filling the main area was an assortment of wooden tables and comfortable leather chairs. There is also a small bar with five beers on tap that rotate on a bi-weekly basis. In another corner is a well-stocked walk in humidor, and adjacent to it was a wall covered in over 350 different imports and microbrews. I met with my brother in law, a good friend Nathan Lee Lewis, and Father John Denny of Hot Springs, Arkansas. We all enjoyed (pardon the spelling) Hogaards ... |
