The screen looks kind of dark now, and if I open up a window and let lots of light in, there's less eyestrain.The other day I reset the monitor refresh from 60 hertz to 75 hertz. Brian Cashman was in a meeting Wednesday when he took a call from the Yankees' trainer's room. That is rarely a good call for a general manager to take. Cashman learned that Chien-Ming Wang, the Yankees' No. 1 starter, had noticed some discoloration on his right calf, which he injured covering first base in the seventh inning Sunday. Wang received treatment on a day off Monday, but the Yankees did not think much of it until the bruise showed up. Cashman agreed with the trainer's plan to send Wang for a magnetic resonance imaging test, which the team said showed a mild strain. Wang will throw in the bullpen Thursday, and if he comes through that without problems, he will start Saturday as scheduled according to the New York Times."You never want to hear that stuff," Cashman said.
