The studentships will cover standard UK/ EU/ Overseas fees plus additional annual maintenance grant of £10,000. Representation and Democracy Interested candidates should have a particular interest in conducting research that examines aspects of political and legislative representation, either from an institutional or behavioural perspective. Topics may seek to further the existing research on legislative representation or may seek to compare ‘traditional’ models of political representation with alternative models such as direct, deliberative or participatory democracy. The successful candidate may be affiliated with the Department’s new Centre for Elections and Representation Studies which is to be launched in 2008. 2007-03-26 00:38:00 It is a good thing from my News days I learned how to shuttle off noise - you had no choice when the newsroom is typing + shouting + ringing + etc at each other while you try to finish YOUR story for the deadline... Since when I was composing yesterday's articles I used that ability to plough on through as I could barely concentrate for the shrieking of the steamroller crushing the marl into what the bulldozer had dug before - the road for the new Barbarees settlement for Emmerton folk.Then I learned CO Williams was involved as I saw a bobcat only this morning sloughing the excess marl into the belly of an open-backed COW truck, in a way, I suppose this can be construed as a benefit as I know where most of my cats are during the day now, they're cowering in my house from construction equipment raping their former turf at the whim of a voting gimmick foisted without consent on not only my neighbourhood but ME, as I am right next door to it!In case you are not aware, there is a stro...

2007-03-20 02:04:00 Photo of the dayWhat is so difference between our Strathclyde University and Glasgow University?..It is the name..haha..definitely you'll be having problem in pronouncing & spell the word "strathclyde" correctly before you came here..haha..In chinese, strathclyde is translated as 史崔克萊大學..haha..I don't think chinese is a better approach to learn how to pronounce it anyway..because I don't know how to pronounce the word "崔"..damn! Glasgow Uni looks better than strathclyde?..I mean the building itself..the tower is very nice right?! Try to think how to describe strathclyde Uni in your own way..hmmm..anyway, is there a landmark for strathclyde uni?..

A tribute to Strathclyde Police..
2007-01-31 16:23:02 This photo was taken after the two policemen returned some of the Philip's stolen belongings including a laptop, mp3 player, handphone, etc. The burglary happened on last Friday (26 Jan) at about 11.20pm, the burglar broke into Philip's room despite that he had locked his window along with the metal grill.. At that moment, he was still having his dinner with Doreen in the livingroom after their job at Quality Hotel.. It was only discovered by Doreen after finishing her dinner..The police arrived half an hour after we reported it to the village office.. While in the process of investigating, the police receive a call where somebody notice the burglar at the Cathedral street.. Immediately, they stormed out of our house toward Cathedral street.. & they came back at about 3-4am to tell philip that they had caught the burglar.. It was done by a young guy who was drunk and ate some drugs!They were so efficient, they even brought back Philip's belonging after taking down important p...
