Here are three short video clips in Arabic I recorded for presidential candidate Dr. Abdel Moneim Abu El Fotoh during his lecture in Jesuit School ?CSF? which I covered last Wednesday. Here is the first clip showing the answer of Dr. Abu El Fotoh about a question regarding the citizenship concept in Egypt. Abu El Fotoh speaks about citizenship The second clip Abu El Fotoh speaks about the concept of the civil state and its history. You will noticed that he was backed up by his political advisor Rabab El Mahdy who supported his definition for the civil state. Abu El Fotoh Speaks about civil state concept The third and last clip I recorded in video was his answer about a question regarding the Egyptian-Southern Sudanese relations and South Sudan. Abu El Fatouh En Jesuit : 2 hours of questions
2012-03-29 02:05:00
Presidential candidate Abdel Moneim Abu El Fatouh was invited for a lecture at the College De Sainte Famille ?CSF? aka The Jesuit Downtown Cairo tonight by the Catholic patriarchs and priests association and ?The Justice and Peace organization? which also follows the Catholic church.  It was an open invitation for everybody and I attended it. The lecture was moderated by journalist Youssef Ramez who did an amazing job.Abu El Fatouh came along some of the member of his campaign including his political advisor and AUC political sciences professor Rabab El Madi. El Mahdi is a famous Marxist and even Father William hinted out to this fact as it was a sign on how Abu El Fatouh was open to others despite his Islamist background. Most of the attendants were Christians including a considerable number of nuns ?including a dear old foreign nun I once met in a Spanish course from several years ago? who went to listen and to ask the famous Islamist candidate who was Many of the attendant...

Israele attacca il Sudan
2011-04-07 11:49:00
Sudan: Jihadist Threaten Another 9/11
2009-03-12 02:36:00
As Sudan Tribune writes, "an alliance of Sudanese Islamic jihadists and Darfur Arab militia groups pledged to carry out attacks against countries that are supporting the decisions of the International Criminal Court (ICC)" in retaliation to the last weeks indictment of Sudanese president, Omar al-Bashir, for the war crimes and crimes against humanity committed in Darfur since 2003.The alliance promised "world imperialists and CIA agents in US, UK, and France with another September 11 attack." The group also called for assassinations of the ICC chief prosecutor and Darfur rebel leaders. The joint statement was signed by the Martyr Abu-Qiseissah Suicide Group, Ansar Al-Sunnah Al-Jihadiyah Group, the Group in Search of Martyrdom, the Martyr Ali Abdel-Fattah Brigade, and the Darfur Lions Brigade.Earlier, high ranking officials from Iran, Syria, Hamas, Hezbollah, and Palestinian Islamic Jihad visited Khartoum after the ICC arrest warrant was issued and expressed full support for president...
Deadly EuroHypocrisy in Spain -- No war criminals except in Israel [can it
2009-03-10 18:38:00
Anti-Zionism is the anti-imperialism of foolsWe have long believed that the UK is the most dangerous Euro state for Israel. Certain forces in Britain have been working for the mass murder of Jews since 1920 or earlier. However, other Euro powers are doing their hypocritical best for that cause as you read this. Spain has long had a pro-Arab, anti-Israel policy. This goes back to the fascist dictator Francisco Franco y Bahamonde as he was fighting the bloody Spanish civil war back in the 1930s. Many Nazi veterans, such as Otto Skorzeny, got refuge in Spain after the defeat of Nazi Germany. Skorzeny was a war criminal as were others of his comrades in Spain. One of the ways that Skorzeny made a few spare pesos in his time was to sell Spanish weapons to Egypt and other Arabs. None of these war criminals in Spain was ever extradited for trial. Nazi commemorative ceremonies were held publicly in Spain. What is significant is that the pro-Arab, anti-Israel policy of fascist Franco continue...

Sudan - A disaster in progress
2008-06-02 17:53:00
PressTV's Middle East Today delves into the complicated issues dividing Africa's largest nation, Sudan. It?s a country that is very rarely out of the news, but also a country that very few people actually understand. To many people, Sudan is synonymous with civil war, ethnic strife, poverty and hunger. A little known fact, however, is that despite all this, the country still managed to be the sixth fastest growing economy in the world in terms of GDP last year. Sudan also emerged as the world?s most unstable country on the Failed States Index, pushing Iraq into second place, probably not an achievement welcomed or accepted by the authorities in Khartoum . But while Sudan may appear as a solid block on the map, on the ground, several regions with their own distinct cultures and languages maintain a vigilant watch on their neighbors; over the gunsight of an assault rifle. Despite a ceasefire declared between the north and south in 2005 ? a ceasefire both sides accus...
News: US presidential candidates united in support of Darfur
2008-05-29 02:37:00
There don't seem to be many issues that the US presidential candidates Clinton, Obama and McCain agree upon, but one which caught my eye: their stand against Sudan and the genocide in Darfur.Extract from their statement:After more than five years of genocide, the Sudanese government and its proxies continue to commit atrocities against civilians in Darfur. This is unacceptable to the American people and to the world community. We deplore all violence against the people of Darfur. There can be no doubt that the Sudanese government is chiefly responsible for the violence and is able to end it. We condemn the Sudanese government?s consistent efforts to undermine peace and security, including its repeated attacks against its own people and the multiple barriers it has put up to the swift and effective deployment of the United Nations-African Union peacekeeping force. We further condemn the Sudanese government?s refusal to adhere to the terms of the Comprehensive Peace Agreement (CPA) th...

2008-04-15 01:09:00
This photo by Kevin Carter won the ?Pulitzer Prize? in 1994 and became a symbol of the Sudan famine at the time. The picture depicts stricken girl crawling towards an United Nations camp, located a kilometer away. The vulture is waiting for the child to die so that it can eat her. This picture shocked the whole world. No one -including the photographer- knows what happened to the child. Here is the story behind the picture: In 1993 Carter headed north of the border with [his colleague] Silva to photograph the rebel movement in famine-stricken Sudan. To make the trip, Carter had taken a leave from the Weekly Mail and borrowed money for the air fare. Immediately after their plane ) touched down in the village of Ayod, Carter began snapping photos of famine victims. Seeking relief from the sight of masses of people starving to death, he wandered into the open bush. He heard a soft, high-pitched whimpering and saw a tiny girl trying to make her way to the feeding center. As he crouched to...

Satellite photos have revealed that Sudan now has Chinese made A-5 fighter-bombers. The A-5 is a twin engine Chinese design based on the 1950s era Russian MiG-19 fighter. The A-5 entered service in 1970, and about a thousand were built. Exports began in the 1980s, mainly to Pakistan, Bangladesh, Myanmar and North Korea.
