The Switch was slammed by the reviewers, and then dragged through the mud again. I am here to tell you differently. I almost didn't even go see this simply from what those downers had to say. So glad I didn't listen, cause I had so much fun with this film. The plot was relatively predictable but it surprised me in pleasant, tender ways. The Switch is, at its core, a romantic comedy with a kid to add the adorable factor. It is not an impressive script, but the humor really has wit and irony. The ironic similarities between Bateman and the adorable boy carry the film with physical and personality likenesses.
