Combat Sambo: Leg Kick Takedown to Grapevine Kneebar
2008-04-08 20:00:00 Here's a Combat Sambo move combination I thought was just made of win- the Leg Kick Takedown (Ouchi Gari) + the Grapevine Kneebar:http://www.youtube.com/-v/UP_x7voLWeMThe takedown is a little awkward if you haven't done something like that before, but it's essentially a Judo inner leg sweep, just combined with the forward motion of a single-leg. You just really have to commit to it, and you'll get it.The kneebar, on the other hand, you need to finish immediately, else you will not be able to lock it in. You basically instantly triangle around his ankle, and arch your body to get the kneebar. Now, if you can't get it within the first 2 seconds, ditch it and work on moving to side/full mount.The kneebar is pretty low-percentage, but the takedown alone makes this move worth trying occasionally. Might I suggest covering up better than the guy in the video when shooting in?

Since I don't have just one thing to report on, I'm going to takedown a few important topics before I get ready for bed (Santa is going to be here soon). Notice, the italics on takedown- it doesn't have any particular connotation, but I thought it would be fitting.1. Juno, staring Micheal Cera from Superbad, is a great movie. The film combines the same humor from Superbad in a toned down, witty way. Dare I say one of my favorites of the year? Yes, I do.2. I asked for a tie rack for Christmas. I can't wait to put my neck ties on the tie rack made to hold and store my silk formal wear that is made to be worn around the neck.3. Why? Try taking the back of a guy as soon as you start to make a counter-attacking movement. Significantly harder than you taking the offensive. Regardless, it's a wonderfully easy transition, and just as easy to practice. So get off your asses.-y

Several people in particular have asked to take a look at Wicked Profits. As is our usual practice, we don't link directly to the site, but you can find them via any search engine. What do they provide? One vertical index credit spread per month - either a bull put spread or a bear call spread. In other words, they send out half an iron condor every month, and hope to be correct about the market direction.

Hellfire: 70 takedown!
2007-10-05 15:46:00 I was questing in Hellfire with a 63 Undead warrior and a 70 Night Elf warrior tried to take us down. Instead of coming after me (cloth wearing weakling) dummy tries to go after the warrior at 75% health. He was also using some lag hack. Anyways the warrior keeps hamstringing him, I keep Arcane missile, Fire blast, pop a quick POM and Pyro, then finish him with a final Fire blast. Voila! Level 70 takedown. Truly embarrassing, I felt bad for him.
