Ty Taubenheim is Jesus
2007-07-04 04:01:00 So I was watching Greg Sansone today on The Score, and accidently tuned into their segment on Major League Baseball. Their baseball analyst is Jim Traber, whom they have on via link from Traber's hometown somewhere down south in the States. This is kind of amusing all in itself, that Toronto doesn't have a guy who can go down to The Score studios, and be considered a legitimite baseball analyst.Traber is kind of a hypocritical meathead, and his overview of the Jays is pretty laughable. For example: in previous years, Traber thought that Miguel Batista was a serviceable reliever on the team, and it was unthinkable that the team would target BJ Ryan in the offseason. Anyone with a passing view of the team thoughout the year could have clearly seen that the team was going to ship Batista out as soon as the season ended. Traber's not in Toronto though, which makes him a very curious choice to be giving inside opinion on the squad.Traber also has a strange vendetta against steroid use...

2007-06-21 16:50:00 Taubenheim was recalled from AAA and will start Saturday against the Rockies. He made seven starts for Toronto last season and went 0-5 with a 4.99 ERA. In 11 starts at AAA this season, he was 3-5 with a 5.82 ERA. It would be wise to avoid Taubenheim, at least initially.

Scouting Jays Prospect #10: Ty Taubenheim
2007-02-19 15:04:01 Ty Taubenheim was thought by many to be a throw in from the Brewers in the Lyle Overbay trade. The right-hander quickly impressed the Jays and when injuries arose to the parent club in 2006, and he received an earlier than expected call-up to Toronto.
