Kenneth Copeland Blames Satan For Congressional Televangelists Inquiry
2008-05-26 15:51:00
Iowa Republican Senator Grassley has been gently looking into the finances of six Televangelists. All six have a few things in common, they are Pentecostals, they work from the premise God gives big monetary rewards to those who send the most money to these Televangelists and live extremely lavish lifestyles (which is what brought them to the Senator's attention.)The most infamous of these crooks was Dallas, Texas Televangelist Robert Tilton with his show Success in Life. He spent a time in jail for his crookery but he's back. It's okay to steal what you want from not very bright lonely people as long as you do it under the name of Jesus Christ. You can even get away with multiple wives, sexual abusing little girls for that matter. But one must learn to do these things in a Christian manner. Catholic priests - Papists - had a different problem, though they had sex with little boys and mostly got away with it, they are known to be unarmed and not crazy loons who will shoot it our...

All televangelists are bad
2008-01-07 14:12:00
Mark I. Pinsky tries to defend certain American televangelists over others, listing Rick Warren and Joel Osteen as two prominent examples of preachers who are not quite as evil and greedy as the rest. This, of course, is a vain effort. Warren, Osteen, and the few others of their ilk are just as big a bunch of assholes as Benny Hinn, Joyce Meyer, Creflo Dollar, etc., etc. - they just do their evil in more subtle ways. Televangelists Target of Senate Investigation

The more successful televangelists certainly don't sell all they own in order to give the money to the poor as Jesus advised ... far from it. They build small empires. The glitzy lifestyle the head honchos of these organizations enjoy is supremely ironical when you consider that their wealth flows from the gospel ... a gospel that speaks unambiguously about the evils of wealth and attachment to worldly goods. It seems televangelists and their well heeled flock never look in the mirror. They are sort of like modern day Pharisees cashing in on the blood-of-the-lamb to support plush lifestyles, while remaining blind to their own excesses. Some scrutiny of the government sort came their way recently with the announcement by Senator Chuck Grassley that an investigation is underway into the financial dealings of six prominent televangelists. Grassley, who sits on the Senate Finance Committee, has sent letters to Christian media ministries asking for information about their expenses, execu...

Please let me know if I'm off-key at all. I'd really like to believe that this is a Christ-centered network, but I don't at all. Again, let me know if I'm wrong, but I believe this situation aligns directly with Paul's warning in 2 Tim 4:2-5 -Eric
