Why Do Terminators Time-Travel Naked?
2009-03-10 17:18:00
As much as this hilarious and slightly not-safe-for-work video does its best to answer the age-old question, “Why do Terminators time-travel naked?” We’re still left asking, how does it explain Summer Glau. Thoughts?

Heather Graham To Star In Ex-Terminators
2008-05-10 00:05:00
Heather Graham To Star In Ex-TerminatorsBlack dramedy from a Scrubs directorSource: Variety We?re not saying that Heather Graham?s career has run aground over the last few years ? we?re far too classy for that. But even the quickest peek at her CV throws up titles like Miss Conception, Adrift In Manhattan and Gray Matters ? movies that we think she?d be hard-pressed to remember, let alone anyone who watched them.So it?s probably fair to say that the career of the former Rollergirl may not have run aground, but it?s certainly veered off course a tad. She hasn?t been in a big movie since 2003?s Anger Management, and that was an uncredited cameo. In that time, though, the best thing that the vivacious and likeable blonde has done was an extended guest run on one of Empire?s favourite US sitcoms, the mighty Scrubs. And it?s to that show that she?s turned for her next movie project ? a project that we hope will allow us to say, ?Heather Graham is b...
Ladybugs as garden pest terminators.
2008-04-09 22:07:00
Ladybugs are, in effect, a garden killing machine. They have become a symbol of biocontrol and Integrated Pest Management (IPM). Although they tend to be flighty even if released properly, the Ladybugs that stick around will be diligent to chow down on their favorites: aphids, mites, insect eggs, etc. Ladybugs can be very cost-effective and are a natural way to rid your lawn and garden of unwanted pests. Each order will contain approx. 4500 (adults) USD 70:-.
Potential Terminators! - SendMeRSS
2008-02-09 09:51:00
Potential Terminators! All has been quiet on the Terminator 4 front lately - or to give the film its correct, and frankly ridiculous, title: Terminator Salvation: The Future Begins. When McG signed on to direct the film there was terror amongst fans of the franchise, this was however calmed, when Christian Bale was signed as John Connor. I still can't get over that pairing, Bale and McG... so either the script is an absolute gem, McG can brainwash people or Bale has just bought a huge house, and he needs cash for the down payment. We then heard stories that Bale's part would be very small, and that the lead character would be a chap called Marcus. Marcus, by the way is a character so important that he hasn't been mentioned at all, in three films over the course of 20 years. Anyway, before I go off on a total tangent, the213.com had a chat with McG about the film and when they asked him who his ideal Terminator would be he said: "There's[sic] guys out there like Russell Crowe...

Terminators and Gladiators Kill - One with Bullets, the Other with Kindness
2008-01-16 00:29:00
Do you know what I like?  I like good television.  It's just who I am.  I think that Terminator:  The Sarah Connor Chronicles represents good television.  I'm not convinced of it, I may yet be proven wrong, but after two episodes it seems like a pretty solid show to me.  Frankly, the main quibbles I have with the series are all continuity ones that go back to the films on which the show is based.  Once one accepts, if one can, that the producers of the show are making the myth their own rather than simply building on what came before, most of those worries go away.  Look at the good in last night's episode.  There were some decent action sequences including one featuring Summer Glau as Cameron, our good guy Terminator, attacking some random new bad guy Terminator.  Cameron also shot a man on the presumption that he may have been lying and she was also a hair's breadth away from taking out a cop.  Sure, she'...
Sarah Connor Chronicles Her Running Into More Terminators
2008-01-11 02:55:00
In 1984, Arnold Schwarzenegger starred as the title character in a movie that would turn into a massive Hollywood franchise, Terminator. Schwarzenegger's character is a cyborg covered in human skin, a killing machine. The film went on to have two sequels over the next 20 years, and now is about to start a new chapter on television as a series titled Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles. As the name indicates, the series will not focus on Arnold's model of cyborg, who in the first movie is sent back in time to assassinate Sarah Connor, but rather on Sarah herself. In the original film, Sarah was informed that she was destined to give birth to the savior of mankind, John Connor (something Arnold was sent back to stop from happening). Sarah, understandably, struggled greatly with that knowledge and with learning that machines were going to wipe all but a small percentage of humanity off the face of the Earth. By the second film Sarah had changed significantly. She had g...

Bedbugs Plague California, Calls to Exterminators Rising
2007-08-14 01:59:00
Bed feeling a little crowded? Maybe you have company. The Cimex lectularius, better known and despised as the common bedbug, is snuggling into households across Southern California, giving people the heebie- jeebies. The blood-sucking, heat-seeking, pint-size parasites aren't believed by the experts to transmit disease, but they do have a way of cranking up stress levels. It was just horrendous," said a West Hollywood middle-school teacher, who, like others who have been horrified to have lived with the uninvited guests, asked that she not be identified. "Think of how you wouldn't sleep at night if you had roaches, and this is even worse," she said. "These roaches feed on you." They used to be associated with cramped and dirty living quarters, grimy motels and high-rise living in places like New York. For much of the second part of the last century the liberal use of the eventually banned pesticide DDT seemed to all but do away with them. Now bedbugs have moved into single-fami...
Terminal Terminators
2007-02-17 00:29:05
I read the obituaries every day.  I know that it sounds ghoulish, but I do it.  A couple of months ago my name was in there, but they put another guy’s picture next to it, so it all worked out okay…at least, for me. Every single day there is an obit for someone who fought a brave fight against cancer, or waged a heroic battle against leukemia and, regrettably, it got me thinking. There’s no question that you folks are brave.  Even if you go, whimpering and crying, into the void, it takes some guts just to stay in the battle.  What I need to know is why more of you don’t decide to go out in some truly epic and heroic way.  I’m not talking about the “I’m going to fight this bastard to the bitter end” kind of heroism, but the “Magnficent Seven, Lone Ranger, Dirty Dozen” kind of heroism.  The final “I’m dying and I’m not happy about it and somebody’s goin’ to pay” kind of epic final quest for...
