2008-02-14 14:42:00 Cross-platform play not so likely for The AgencyFiled under: NewsIf you don't remember, The Agency is an MMO designed for the PS3 and PC -- we assume it's a bigger deal to the PS3 crew though. While many online games gladly accommodate cross-platform play, like Phantasy Star Universe, it seems the group in charge of The Agency is having a slightly harder time. It's not that they don't know how to do it, but they feel it might be a bit unfair due to the difference in control scheme between the console and the PC. Sony Online Entertainment's CEO, John Smedley, affirms this, saying, "Would the mouse player have a unique advantage? Would we have to make the auto-aiming system on the console a lot better to compensate for that? That would take some of the skill element away on the console."You'll still be able to log into your character from either the PC or PS3. In addition to being able to trade operatives, there will be a variety of mini-games ranging from casino games to shooting range competitions to mano-a-mano combat. SOE Seattle is still being mum on details, since the game's not shipping until 2008, but I'm also hoping missions will offer the chance for spies to team up. One thing that was mentioned for multiplayer was the World Domination mode, which will involve player-versus-player combat on a large scale. Details on this are classified for now, but SOE Seattle definitely has my interest.

A Miss TLC Review of "The Agency"
2007-03-07 17:52:09 I just caught a commercial for this new VH-1 reality show this weekend and I must say, I was impressed. For a channel that now regularly shows junk like The Surreal Life Fame Games and I Love New York (yes, I can't front...that one makes me laugh), I was surprised that they were really going to show something meatier without a D-list celeb on hand. The Agency follows the Wilhelmina Models International team and some of their agents in NYC. So considering the very positive response I got from the Miss TLC real-time review during The Grammys, I now bring you the official Miss TLC real-time take of The Agency...Great, stylish-looking opening. I love the graphics and the look of this whole show already.Chloe (the "model" who returns to them out of shape and looking to book new jobs) is not pretty at all. I totally get that many of these girls only look good with a ton of makeup on and their hair done up but I do expect my models to be pretty-ish and this is not this girl. HOWEVER...
