Age of Conan Reaches Number 1 on the Charts
2008-06-02 17:51:00
Funcom has announced that their recently launched MMORPG Age of Conan has reached the #1 spot on the PC charts. They go on to say that the game has sold out in several retailers nationwide, due to the games booming success, and that over 8 million unique visitors from around the world have visited the official website. Age of Conan developers are hard at work evolving the game to make for the recent influx of new subscribers, but to what extent will the game grow? Is it possible that this gore-laden MMO could topple Blizzard?s World of Warcraft? If things continue to go as planned it is quite possible that Age of Conan will be a competing factor to the MMO mammoth. Yay! Chart time again people, and there’s a great mix of big names and new artists. I haven’t heard anything remotely good recently, mostly because the car broke down last week and I haven’t had the luxury of music on the drive to work! And I could have picked some tunes out on YouTube, but I’ve ...

…in this post, I crawl back out of the woodwork and apologise for the unforgivable gaps in posting to Unreality Music… Feeling sheepish folks, because I lost the thrill of new music there for a little while, despite a passable enough Top 40. Chanelle Hayes Gets To Number 63 In The Charts!
2008-05-19 21:44:00
Bloody brilliant! Chanelle Hayes vowed last week that if her new single, ‘I Want It’, bombed she would give up the music business forever. So how chuffed am I that her single only got to number 63 in the charts? Even if she wanted to release another song, or God forbid an album, I couldn’t see ...

Anyone else finding it hard to get excited about music at the moment? For every decent track out there, there’s a moment of utter dirge. For every American Boy, there’s a Heartbeat. One song I’m loving at the moment is Daddy-O by Wideboys and Shaznay Lewis. It’s a frantic dance track with Shaznay at her most ...

Alright, we’ve got a lot of big names in this week’s chart - Madonna, Kanye, Mariah, Leona and Chris Brown. Not much movement among the established artists, and we’ve got one bizarre addition to the chart in the guise of September. That’s right, a month of the year has released a single. The world’s gone mad! Estelle ...

Mortgage Rates Predictions - What the Charts Are Telling Us
2008-03-28 06:00:00
Mortgage rates have a lot to do with how well the economy is performing. When mortgage rates go up, people can no longer afford to invest money in new properties. This, of course, brings a slow down to the building trade and it also means less money will be flowing through the economy. On ...

Hymns Still Top The Charts
2008-03-14 21:11:00
I’m not one of those stiff-necked folks who insist that only hymns are proper worship songs, but given the fact that there’s actually a plethora of bad Christian music out there nowadays, I still prefer hymns to contemporary Christian music (CCM). There’s just something majestic and magnifying of the Lord in hymns, unlike bad CCM that ...
The Charts: Top sellers at Amazon (new episode)
2008-03-10 23:21:00
We have a new episode of the Charts, our on-going snapshot-to-snapshot soap opera of the best selling digital cameras at Amazon. In today's episode we have the attack of the Elves, but no, we are not talking about Lord of the Rings. But the biggest noise (pun intended?) was made by the Panasonic FZ18, dropping in price to the psychological barrier of $300, and jumping into the top ten. Here is a screenshot teaser of the top 25. For the whole top 25, be sure to visit the Camera Charts blog. The attack of the Elves in the intro is referring to the release of the Canon SD1100 IS. Even though it is available in multiple deliciously fashionable colors, the various colors are moving on up. One of them has jumped into the top 25 already, and another one is knocking on the door. As if there weren't enough Canon cameras in the top 25 :-)Welcome to our full-text feed! Hope you are enjoying this new feature!
R&B News: Janet Jackson tops the charts
2008-03-06 04:29:00
Janet Jacksons tops the charts with her latest album. To be honest with you Janet sold somewhere around 182,000 in the first week. Isn't that considered to be a flop. Those don't sound anywhere near Alicia Keys numbers or Beyonce. Does this mean Janet can't hang with the young girls. I can't wait to see what Mariah does. Alicia Keys shut all these ladies down. No body is selling like her. Get mad ladies cause your days are numbered.

Welcome back for another run down of the UK’s top ten! In this edition, I’m going to moan about how hard it is to write the chart run-down when the tunes stay the same each week. Nickelback, Rihanna and Kelly Rowland have been hanging around the chart for weeks and weeks, and I have officially ...

Ouch. Of the two young ladies tipped for big things in 2008, Adele spent the last few weeks being denied her #1 by Basshunter. Then, just when their iron grip of that position slips, in nips Duffy and takes it effortlessly. That’s got to be annoying! Not as annoying as that Nickelback single is becoming. ...

I must be in pissy form today, because just about every song on the top ten this week annoys me on some level. I’d been holding off on doing a review of Kanye West’s Homecoming single, because I thought it was quite a weak track. It scratched the top ten last week, but dropped out again ...

Taylor Swift Still Isn?t Relinquishing the Charts

Moral hazard goes off the charts as banks and our goverment talk about void
2007-11-30 21:59:00
There are days when the fools in charge of our banks and our government do things so stupid and so short-term, you just have to shake your head in disbelief, and acknowledge the fact that we're run by monkeys. Monkeys trying to win the next election, monkeys trying to earn their next bonus. This is one of those days.Goldman Sachs' head Henry Paulson (oops, I mean Treasury Secretary) and the clueless Sheila Baier at the FDIC are due to announce a moral hazard toxic loan "bloodletting over amputation" plan soon. This "keep your teaser rate" and "Vote GOP" plan would let people who stupidly got into loans and homes they couldn't afford keep their silly teaser rate (just until after Bush leaves office), and people who bought homes they could afford with fixed rate mortgages of course would get screwed in comparison.Uh, two or three words come to mind:Moral Hazard.MORAL HAZARD.MORAL F*CKING HAZARD!!!! "Bank Failure" and "Class Action Lawsuits" also come to mind...Treasury close to su...

Britney #1 on the charts
2007-11-06 20:47:00
Britney Spears’ long awaited comeback album will debut at #1 on the Billboard charts this week.  Blackout has already sold over 250,000 copies.  However, that might not be the best selling album.  The Eagles reportedly sold a lot more than Britney, but they offered their new album exclusively through Walmart, and Walmart does not report ...
5th of November - Off the Charts!
2007-11-05 07:32:00
Wow.I thought I'd stay up a few minutes later than usual to see how the big November 5th plan is working out at the "opening bell" so to speak, and I am...floored.At just over an hour into the day, approximately $170,000 has been raised already. If this pace keeps up, we could break $4 million in 24 hours! Maybe more. That thought is simply stunning. Try to imagine it...it boggles the mind! If it becomes reality, it will be worth its weight in gold for all the media attention it will garner. The Ron Paul campaign has given America and the world one surprise after another, but this might be the biggest one yet. This is a movement that cannot be ignored and will not be denied. History is being made here before our eyes. WE are making it.I will be glued to the computer from dawn 'til dusk today, to watch with amazement as this thing unfolds.

It's Good To Be Us is at #32 on the Mediabase Top 500 chart this morning and has moved up to the #33 position on the weighted chart, but as Winnie of Buckymania pointed out .... that bullet could use a boost. CMT has not added it to the options yet at the CMT Top 20 Countdown but you may want to bookmark it as it most likely will be in the near future.
