What is the goal of yoga ?
2008-03-29 04:56:00
It may be said that the goal of yoga is to bring about a complete harmony within the individual, due to the cessation of the process of desire and achievement, as a result of realization of the futility of that process. It is a state of separation from misery and sorrow, ...

The goal is in sight!!! $6000 here i come!!!
2008-02-26 08:31:00
The EPL season started last year in Mid August, nearing 6 months into this little project of mine. Some result can be seen if any of you reading this has been following me on my progress. Starting with a mere SGD100 as my capital, the amount at this moment in time stands at about SGD1500. Going by the Season Table, SGD6000 is only 12 bets away. From this point onwards, the progress or degress will be great since i will be betting in the hundreds. It will be stressful but at the same time exciting! Keep tracking back and keep up with my progress and if you want. Start following my bets and if all goes well. We will all be smiling $$$ when the EPL season ends in May 08. :)

AC Milan 1-0 Fiorentina, Pato Injured+The goal
2008-02-03 23:19:00
76' PATO It was tough match, with dirty challenges from the both side. Milan was mainly with no idea, Pirlo was short with creativity ideas that will enable scoring chances to Gilardino. He was average as usual, also Gattuso was missing on the midfield where Milan had no fire or whatsoever to fight for the ball. Pato got in from the bench and immediately the match got the fire that was much needed and Pato 5 minutes later scored with a brilliant Kaka pass, and also magic Pato finish.Other moments that should be mentioned are Seedorf didn't looked that happy that was substituted by Ancelotti, in matter of fact he was very angry and he even didn't shake hand with Pato while he was substituted.Pato has injured himself and that didn't look like naive injury, I'm afraid of more serious injury Pato's about to face. Let's hope for that that will not be the case, Milan already has 2 injured attackers.Thats all for now, for the latest Pato injury news after few days.Forza Milan!!! F...
The Goal
2008-01-28 09:42:00
I just read some great posts about significance vs. success on Jaeson Ma's blog. They're a bit long, but a good read if you have the time. Jaeson shares openly about our perceptions of success, or rather, our misperceptions. And the importance of living lives of significance rather than seeking lives of success (in his case, ministry success). I also recommend reading this excellent post (which touches on the same topic, but from pondering the other side of the coin: failure) written by a new friend, Wayne Park. Like Jaeson, I too was trained that destiny, calling and vision were the goal - to be somebody for God meant doing something important, especially ministry. I became so zealous about the vision and the ministry, that I lost sight of my truer inheritance, my true goal. Him.I am reminded again that Jesus is the bread I hunger for, the drink that quenches my thirst. He is my inheritance. He is the program. He is the vision. He is the goal. Recenlty, I had the pleasure of meet...
The Goal is Not to Get a Date, But a Second Date

As readership increases, I will be able to devote more cool bells and whistles of information and fun for parents in Silver Spring. If there is an upcoming event or resource for parents that you would like to see featured, please send me a line to jessica dot mcfadden at g mail dot com. Real Madrid won over Barcelona 1-0, the goal video
2007-12-24 01:19:00
Baptista scored a nice goal for Real Madrid, thanks to a good combination with Van Nistelrooy. Barcelona had some concrete chances but nothing else than that. So, Real Madrid is almost the champion, i must confess i feel surprised. What do you think on the match? Here is the goal, watch the video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-0tcy7R8zDgc
The Goal of Perfect Peace
2007-12-16 23:54:00
Christmas can be a confusing holiday because of the various perspectives or paradigms which seem to compete for attention. You can see it from a Christian perspective that emphasizes the teachings of Jesus. However, you may experience conflict due to disagreement with all the different interpretations available (I sure do). You could come from a "western" perspective, yet this too is wrought with conflict, as you feel obligated to conform to holiday rituals, even though you feel they are empty of meaning. Christmas trees, useless gifts and inflatable lawn ornaments tend to become rather inane and ridiculous after awhile and the obligatory family appearances can often become exhausting. If you combine the two, as I have previously attempted, then there is no denying conflict as one model promotes God, while the other blatantly ignores and even debases that concept. I recommend that you simply come from the Goal of Perfect Peace and base your perspective of Christmas on nothing e...

Republicans move the goal posts again
2007-09-10 15:11:00
We've seen so many goals promoted in regards to the occupation of Iraq. The mission has changed constantly from when it first entered the public conscience to today as we watch the Republicans reset there Iraqi agenda to fit their domestic agenda once again. We know now that president Bush's sole goal is to maneuver into "a position where the presidential candidates will be comfortable about sustaining a presence" so that we "stay longer" in Iraq. He doesn't care about the public will or the soldiers sacrifice. As long as we don't make changes to his failed policies, well that's good enough for him. In order to do this some reality--just enough really and selected conveniently--must be injected at opportune times. This is a long-standing trend with this administration. It began as the disarmament of Iraq. Then when they accepted the--once stated by the opposition--fact that there was nothing to disarm, it was expanded to regime change and freedom. Sensing that this was...

There is a prevailing notion that there’s no such thing as getting rich quickly. If someone tells you he’ll help you get “rich quick”, we’re all pretty much sure it’s a scam. The Goalie Situation: Theodore Part II
2007-07-20 20:08:00
Despite the thundering cries from Avalanche fans everywhere to buy out the last year of his contract and send him packing---never mind the $4 million salary cap penalty---Jose Theodore will be back as one of the Colorado Avalanche's goalies this coming season.   While Theo spent the second half of last year securely fastened to the bench, young Peter Budaj proved himself as a capable starting netminder.  Far more consistent than the team's expensive backup, "Boots" seemed to thrive when given consistent playing time.  He, as much as anyone else on the team, was the catalyst behind the 15-2-2 final run. All that said, rumors abound that the Avalanche still aren't locked on Budaj as the starting goalie for the coming season.  Adrian Dater and other Denver reporters have hinted that Coach Joel Quenneville and his mustache will be playing Theodore often, at least early.  But possibly the most reliable source on the matter is Budaj himself. In an interview ...
Holy crap microsoft hits their Zune target sales by the goal date!
2007-05-28 20:03:00
People might like saying that apple is the king of mp3, and that microsofts zune was a waist of time. But from day 1 Microsoft has said they wanted to hit 1 Million zunes sold by June 1, 2007. Heres the funny part, Microsoft has announced that they have sold slightly over 1 million zunes! Yes you heard that right, microsoft has hit their goal on zune sales. Robbie Bach, told the san francisco chronicle that the companys 1 million zunes gives it a 10% share of the hard disk based player category, one hell of a start for the company if you ask me. Makes me personally wonder if all those apple fanboys were a little fast on the draw calling the zune a failure. I mean yes iPods have sold around a 100 million, but the fact is they've been around for what 6 years? And they pretty much own the arena, but its funny isnt it how microsoft and the Entertainment division use the exact same tactics and have the same results so far? I mean the Xbox1 came out into a heavily filled arena run by...
Can teams pull the goalie in soccer like they do in hockey?

I've always wondered this myself. It's fair to say that pulling the goalie would be much less an advantage in soccer than in ice hockey but i've often wondered if it's allowed and if so, why don't they do it? For instance if a team is trailing by a goal in injury time and the ball is at the

Which way is the goal please?

Arsene has come in for a fair bit of stick from some of the blog writers lately – myself included - for making some strange tactical decisions, but lets just hold on a minute and not get too carried away with dishing out the blame. The fact of the matter is that we have been unlucky in most of our recent matches and haven’t got the results that perhaps our football and domination deserved.
