More than that however, Florida was a huge turning point for us. We changed our set dramatically for the first time in months, and we made a decision to keep playing with it in these final weeks of our tour with Elliott.Being that its a day off, I'm going to depart from my usual music related blogs... Real big...Our show last night at the House of Blues in Orlando, Florida was a fresh start in the middle of our tour with Elliott Yamin (p.s. many apologies about butchering Elliott's name in the last blog. That blog was written after the band rode on space mountain at Disney for the 3rd time in a row. If it makes you guys feel any better I'm pretty sure I was blindly making up different spellings for Carson Daly...ummm... Well, daily.)Last night the very second that we walked out on stage, we knew it was going to be a special show. A few days earlier, we had the chance to rent out a space and rehearse as a band. 2007-10-27 19:55:00 Hey yall, (been in the south for a week... Its contagious). We're here in Orlando, Florida, and we've finally had our first legitimate break on the tour. After a month of 15 hour drives, countless shows, and more than a few stories, we finally get a chance to catch our breath...Sort of.....Yesterday, the band rented out a rehersal space and had our first chance to revamp the set since.... Oh..... June.... We rehearsed two new songs, and Skeeter collaborated with Ely to bring some new tricks to some old songs. Please let us know what you think, especially those of you who will be catching us for the second time.Before I forget, I need to give a long overdue thank you to everyone in Elliot's and Josh's respective camps. This tour has been an absolute blast. 2007-10-09 05:34:00 Ok rockfans, with two shows in the can, we're now rockin' out in Toledo, Ohio. After a lengthy overnight drive, we arrived here in the early early morning. While I brush away our early morning cobwebs, let's recap on last night in Madison...A few weeks ago, we played a half show for McDonalds in Madison, Wisconsin with Reliant K. Dispite a few technical difficulties, the show went well, and everyone in attendance was great. The only thing was, when we arrive in a city for a performance for the first time, we really want to give everyone our best. sometimes anything less than a full performance makes us wish we couldve done more. As i'm writing to all of you, we're getting ready for our show at lake compounce in Connecticut while simotaniously trying to prepare for our first American late night TV performance... oh yeah... and there's that whole leaving to go on tour for two months with Elliot Yamin that happens in less than a week. Like I said.... the month of September has been crazy!After taking approximately 2 days off after our tour to relax, we were immediately back out there promoting ourselves. Last night, September 4th, The Last Goodnight officially ended our first major label tour.... before we get all emotional about that, i'll try to catch all of you up on the last couple of days..On Sunday, we had another major first for our band. Our first international appearance! The Last Goodnight was lucky enough to be invited to Toronto, Canada, to play their Beachfest. A sort of last hurrah for the end of the summer. I was personally blown away by how many fans we have up there north of the border! Thank you to all of you who showed up to support us. Especially those of you that were up front with the posters! Im not going to sit here and talk about the last round of shows we had, but I am going to talk about how amazing this tour was and how we cant wait to jump on the road again. I just want to take time out to say thank you to all the members and crew from Rocco Deluca and the Burden for being the most amazing bunch of people ever. I also want to thank our very good friends from The Midway State for such an amazing time and wish them the best of luck.
