Punct si semnul exclamarii. Un film despre (teoretic despre) un tinut inca neexplorat de oameni de unde o companie vrea sa extraga petrol. Trimite compania o echipa in zona respectiva, echipa care incepe sa aiba ceva probleme. Ce fel de probleme? Movie Review: The Last Winter
2007-10-04 23:14:00 Wow...this is the first time I'm actually giving a movie '4 stars'. I caught this movie last night with Scott at the IFC Center in the village (@ 6th ave. and 3rd street) and was pleasantly surprised. "In the Arctic region of Northern Alaska, an oil company's advance team struggles to establish a drilling base that will forever alter the pristine land. After one team member is found dead, a disorientation slowly claims the sanity of the others as each of them succumbs to a mysterious fear." [source]Unlike conventional horror movies today, 'Winter', directed by Larry Fessenden, doesn't rely on masked killers, chase scenes, or bosomy young teens losing their virginity before losing their lives. It relies on NOT showing you anything, leaving it up to the audience's imagination. In an almost 'Twilight Zone' style, this movie wastes no time building the suspense, but it isn't until the very end that you "see" what's attacking not only this oil team, the world as well.I though...
