2008-01-04 03:45:00 The Clark Brothers, a bluegrass/country band from Nashville, TN, was revealed to be The Next Great American Band's champ during Friday's night pre-taped finale broadcast of Fox's American Idol-like reality competition series.The Clark Brothers -- lead vocalist Ashley, who also plays fiddle and guitar; mandolin and guitar player Adam; and backup vocalist and resonator guitar player Austin -- were crowned The Next Great American Band based on home viewer votes cast following the show's penultimate December 14 episode broadcast.They received The Next Great American Band's grand prize, a recording contract with 19 Recordings."Thank you so much, we can't believe it," said Ashley after host Dominic Bowden revealed he and his two siblings were the winners. 2007-11-27 22:46:00 FOX's Switches 'Band' & 'Lyrics'!Post by: SalFOX is shaking up its Friday lineup as current occupants "The Next Great American Band" and "Don't Forget the Lyrics!" will trade time periods beginning next week (December 7)."Lyrics," which will slide to 8:00/7:00c, has built off its "Band" lead-in each week since joining the night earlier this month, making the move not much of a surprise.Advance listings also indicate "Lyrics" won't be using first-run episodes on Fridays going forward as the network will instead opt for encores of its summer installments.The switch however will be short lived - "Band" wraps its season on December 21 while "Bones" and repeats of "House" will take over the night beginning January 4. They are not only an excellent band but they are spreading God's love everywhere they go. On top of that, the more exposure they receive the more air time Compassion International receives. DMHO talks about this wonderful charity every chance they get.
