It's about understanding basic emotions communicated by other species.They found a cool little test over at Discovery News that you can take to test your knowledge of dog language. You won't even need extra ram for your dog to want in on the quiz too!It says that dogs are the easiest to try this out on, since canines have lived with us for thousands of years and have sort of figured us humans out, just as we have learned more about them. Now keep in mind that some people are more in tune with their inner Dr. Doolittle than others.Get on over there and see how much you know about dog language!

2007-04-04 12:25:00 my last apartment in montreal was home to me for about seven years. for about four of those i lived next to a construction zone.the city was re-building a highway overpass across the street from me. the Decarie Expressway in Montreal, which, where i lived was below street level - kind of like a giant moat. they were re-doing the overpass that went across it on the corner of my street. it turned out beautifully, but the four years of construction all spring/summer/fall wasn't very fun.summer was the worst because you couldn't open the windows without hearing the trucks beeping, or the jack-hammers drilling... all through the night. that was the only time they could safely close the highway below without interrupting anyones' busy schedules - other than the people who were trying to sleep that is! thankfully (for me, not my room mates) i had an inner bedroom that didn't get ALL the noise.i remember one night my roomie actually called the number they had posted on the signs outside...

I've had my digital camera for awhile now, but never really have played a lot with it. This day I got my chance. Very simply, I was able to take this minute-long video and put it on YouTube. Ahh, isn't freedom nice?I don't know who they were, but I hope they (the musicians) are getting enough tips to pay for their service that they are providing to the surrounding community. In the past, musicians were not seen frequently in the Taksim area, like they had been shewed away like houseflys I suspected. But recently, in the subway and on the crowded streets more and more inspired individuals are showing what they can do, and I believe that has made life all the better.
