Another Los Gatos Map Post! This time I was trying to find a simplified map of the boundaries or borders for the town of Los Gatos online. As a local Realtor, I'm keenly aware of the way the line jumps in and out, espcially along the side with San Jose's Cambrian Park. This is also true with the border with Monte Sereno, too. No shortage of weirdness along the Campbell line either, though - one whole section has a Los Gatos mailing address but is actually Campbell (voting, police etc). (The latter refers to the triangular shaped tract of Leep homes which runs between Pollard Road, Quito Road and Hwy 85.) Little tricks like knowing that a 3 digit address on a house usually means Los Gatos but 4 digits usually means San Jose (but knowing that there are exceptions) can be a big help. I went down to Water Street with my cousin last night, and we made our way to a few popular spots. At our last stop I ran into an old friend who I used to play basketball with during our younger days. My friend has recently returned from a 14 month tour in Iraq. Now, granted, there is much we don't agree on politically. However, we were able to sit down and have a wonderful conversation on topics all across the spectrum. He was interested in the time I spent in Thailand; I was interested in the time he spent in Iraq. We shared stories and, by the end of the night, exchanged numbers. And when we shook hands to go our separate ways, I felt an overwhelming sense of respect for my friend.This is why--in the end--America is the greatest country in the world: friends (and enemies) can engage in discussions and debates on any topic under the sun.I am glad when those discussions can be respectfully meaningful, and I look forward to seeing my friend again soon.

Even though Serena Williams was not able to fully defend her Australian Open Tennis Championship, she is not letting a bunch of old suits bring her down by saying she and sister Venus Williams were grand slam has beens. Serena who I have to say is looking way hotter than when she started on the scene in 1999. I think She is still really a good tennis player. People don't understand that she has had a lot of injuries to her body, but I know that she has a few more grand slam titles before she retires from the sport. There is still the French Open, Wembledon, and the US Open left, and I feel confident that one of the two sisters will win one of these titles.Maybe Serena will be in movies after tennis, we know her sister graduated from the Fort Lauderdale Fashion institute recently and had showed off her designs at her graduation party, so she will definately try to design after her tennis career is over.
