Question about Theta
2007-06-29 02:27:00 Keith, maybe you can help clarify something here... Theta (how time affects options prices) for my current options "portfolio" is -65.2... usually theta is academically expressed in a 'percentage' form of 1, e.g. 0.1. Now, my assumption is that every day that passes, my options in total will lose $65.2 in value. Is this correct? Also, it seems like the deltas given are for entire positions as well. E.g. my SBUX call delta is 838. So, does this mean that for a $1 change in SBUX, my calls will will change in value by $838? I don't know how else to interpret this... am I correct in my assumptions?

2006-12-15 12:53:03 Right smack in the middle of their second wedding party, rumors began circulating that Katie Holmes is pregnant AGAIN. It’s only been eight months since she gave birth to Suri (isn’t that some kind of Indian food, or am I thinking “curry”?). So either Tom’s been busy donating at the sperm bank or one of his little spies was left behind after the first time. If this is true, it could mean an end to Katie Holmes’ character in the upcoming Batman Begins sequel, in which she was supposed to take a much more active part. She was apparently taking kickboxing lessons to prepare for filming. Since Katie isn’t worth holding up a mega-budget movie for, they’ll either write her character out or *cringe* replace her with someone who’ll look nothing like her. Two things I’ve observed in these pics: 1) Tom Cruise is hanging TIGHT onto Katie Holmes and 2) is it just me or is Katie starting to look a little bit like Demi Moore? Copyright... |
