April Fools Jokes From ThinkGeek
2008-04-08 20:47:00 I meant to post these up last week, but ThinkGeek kindly did so. Every year, they create some fake products, some are obvious, others aren't, like Spazztroids caffeinated cereal (I almost blogged about it until I went to hit purchase to see the price). My personal favorite? The Beta Max-to-HD DVD converter, and it's tied with Super Pii Pii Brothers diapers, for those Wii who want the virtual pee experience!See them all at ThinkGeek, including the USB Pregnancy Test Kit.

ThinkGeek made an April Fool out of me
2008-04-01 18:27:00 I am going to hang my head in shame now. I opened up ThinkGeek.com and saw something on their front page called Super Pii Pii Bros. Enraged, I started typing a post that flamed Nintendo, the developers, and the fans. How can people actually purchase this crap (or pee?) and let well developed games with great storylines and intuitive gameplay pass them by. How!? Then I paused for a second to reflect on my 5 or 6 paragraphs of revile and disgust. At that time, my senses caught up with me…oh crud, I have been fooled. I quickly went back to the ThinkGeek’s site and clicked purchase. NOOOOO!!! APRIL FOOLS FROM THINKGEEK! OK, you got me. Everyone in the office had a nice laugh. I went above and beyond being duped into buying this joke, I actually blogged about it. Who has two thumbs and is an easy target for an April Fools pranks? For Your Cubiclemates: The Annoy-O-Tron From ThinkGeek!
2007-12-20 20:00:00 The geniuses at ThinkGeek have the ultimate weapon to be obnoxious at work: The Annoy-O-Tron! This tiny device looks like nothing I've really seen before, other than some random gadget from IT. Basically, you hide it well in a co-worker's office or cubicle, set the random beeping to a subtle-but-irritating 2 kHz, or maybe a very annoying 12 kHz, then watch the fun as they start to hear a beeping sound.ThinkGeek promises it'll be hard to find, because the beeps are random, and hard to pinpoint (unless you're really paying attention). If they find it, who cares? It's so weird looking, you can just say, "Huh, what's that? Guess I'll take it back to IT." Har har har! It's $9.99 or free with an order of $30 or more (for a limited time, type in VEX at checkout). Find more about it at ThinkGeek.com!
