Third Party Billing Services On the Way Out?
2008-06-03 21:02:00
AT&T has agreed to a settlement on third party billing and services. The settlement covers the span of time from 2004 to May of this year. This settlement covers all AT&T wireless customers in the period specified. AT&T customers who have seen mysterious charges for ringtones and other content show up on their cell-phone bills will be eligible for refunds as part of the settlement of a group of class-action lawsuits, a lawyer for the class said Monday. Customers will able to claim refunds for spurious charges that appeared on up to three of their monthly bills between Jan. 1, 2004, and May 30, 2008, according to Jay Edelson, lead counsel for the plaintiffs. It is the first nationwide settlement over the business of third-party content, Edelson said. AT&T spokesman Marty Richter said he knew of no other similar settlement. Edelson’s firm has filed similar suits against Verizon Wireless, Sprint Nextel Corp. and T-Mobile USA. Since Edelson’s firm has cases ...

Third-Party Ads on Google AdSense
2008-05-27 03:40:00
The Google content network now accepts display ads served from qualified third-party vendors. Third-party ad serving has been a longstanding request from top brand AdWords advertisers who use third parties to create and manage their online campaigns. Initially, we will be only accepting third-party ads in English, but we hope to expand to other languages soon.Making the Google content network more accessible to large brand advertisers also benefits AdSense publishers and end users. Third-party ad serving will introduce a greater variety of advertising into the Google content network, increase the inventory of quality display ads competing to show on AdSense publisher sites, and offer more engaging ads for end users. In the long run, we believe the increased inventory and ad competition will result in increased revenue for many AdSense publishers.Optimizing your site to allow third-party adsTo allow third-party ads on your site:Opt into image ads - Currently, third-party ads are only...
Third Party Auto Insurance - Easy Guide To Choosing Your Insurer
2008-05-24 00:19:00
Having the correct auto insurance is essential. I do not think I have to list the many benefits it entails, because they are very obvious. You might not be the best driver in the world (I know I am not), but possessing a fine, wide coverage will save you from countless headaches. You might have never had a car accident, and I really hope you never do, but you are not exempt from it either. In this article we will take a look at the basic concepts of third party only insurance (TPO) and at some tips on how to choose the correct insurer (for any insurance type).Third Party Auto InsuranceThis type of insurance covers liabilities to third parties (as the name pointedly suggests). It covers, among other things, liability for injuries to people, liability for damage to private property, liability for damage caused by a trailer attached to the car, etc.It is also possible to get a third party theft or fire policy, which will apply in case your vehicle sets on fire or happens to be stolen.Ho...

2008-05-23 01:25:00
Google has opened the doors to earn more money through the placement of Third-Party Ads expanding their advertising inventory and the potential to earn more from those ads. This will empower advertisers to work with approved third parties to serve and track display ads, including rich media ads, across the Google content network through AdWords, giving them more options, flexibility and control over their campaigns.Google now has a process to review third-party ads to make sure they comply with the company's format and content policies. For Google and its AdSense publishers, this means a larger advertising inventory and the potential to earn more money through the placement of those ads. For advertisers, this means that ad campaigns can be managed using a consistent software application, whether it's provided by Google or another ad serving company. Because third-party ads could include malicious content, Google is requiring ad providers to be certified in order to serve ads on it...

Third Party Presidential Candidates In May
2008-04-29 01:22:00
We felt kinda good about providing an update on the third party Presidential candidates this month. It didn't get as many comments as other things might, but it's somewhat fulfilling to cover those that are out there struggling to campaign without the recognition that top-dollar candidates do. Maybe one day the Presidential elections in the US will be set up so that it's all on public broadcasting and campaigns don't need to accrue a combined $859.4 million + that could be spent on pressing issues. Anyhow, here's the update for third party events in May.

Third Party Services vs Professional
2008-03-31 16:22:00
This weekend was really hectic for me. I wanted to create 2 websites this weekend and merge my auto responder service to Aweber. The 2 websites were not that much of a hassle, they were just landing pages for my PPC campaigns. The merging of my old service to Aweber was the annoyance. This showed me not to go cheap and just go for the big guys who already took over this specific niche. Being a noob back in the day, I was cheap and I went for more features and a lower price tag. I soon later learned that is a wrong way of thinking and now I am paying for it. This weekend was really annoying just the fact that I had to re create all my list campaigns within aweber, get use to the aweber interface, import my leads - annoying, etc. There were just so many hurdles and repetitive work. I needed to re create my follow up messages and re edit my HTML pages with the new aweber form. I personally got rid of a lot of my lead capture pages and report pages because it wasn’t worth my time ...

Apple kill third-party background processes on iPhone
2008-03-15 03:31:00
As developers eagerly download the iPhone SDK, is the gloss beginning to rub off? Robert Balousek spotted a potentially app-upsetting clause in the software’s documentation regarding third-party apps and background processes. It seems Apple is concerned that iPhone users might feel some of the molasses drag that Windows Mobile handsets experience when there are too many programs running in the background; rather than deal with that as creatively as they’ve managed the rest of the SDK, though, they’ve issued a blanket ban on any third-party software running when not the in-focus app. That means - no matter whether IM client, image editor or game - the program has to quit. “Only one iPhone application can run at a time, and third-party applications never run in the background. This means that when users switch to another application, answer the phone, or check their email, the application they were using quits” Apple SDK documentation (more…) S...

Apple?s third-party iPhone application plans - AppStore
2008-03-07 05:42:00
It's not just Apple's iPhone SDK-based AIM client that made splash, there were a number of demonstrations at today's iPhone Software Roadmap that gave us some insight on what to expect later this year. The early seeds of the iPhone SDK seems to have gone to some good use. Most notably, "Spore," from EA Games, was shown to be working on the iPhone with 18 levels of complete gaming. Spore was built for the iPhone in just two weeks and is being touted as "first 3rd party game on the iPhone." Salesforce.com also demonstrated their iPhone-based sales-tracking application, and Sega even came to play with "MonkeyBall" for the iPhone. There was a lot of accelerometer usage in these demos - like the "Touch Fighter" jetfighter game (tilt the iPhone to control the jetfighter) and the photo editing application that could be reset with the shake of the iPhone (think etch-a-sketch, iPhone-style) - so it's safe to say that we'll be s...

Who Will Be the Third Party Pooper in Chief?

THIRD PARTY IDIOCYLast week I brought you the story of the Simcox, Viguerie, and Alan Keyes plan to scam a third party run to the point where they could line their pockets, once again.  Evidently I wasn't far off the mark.  It appears as though the usual suspects are already starting to flock around the Constitution Party and Chuck Baldwin's considerable pockets.  The Constitution Party is run by Howard Phillips who claims "Christian" and conservative purity and a loyalty to Reagan, but when Reagan was in office, Phillips was one of the first to betray him.
