No pictures, words, symbols or patterns.And apparently no Tigger, of Winnie the Pooh fame. The American Civil Liberties Union has filed a lawsuit in Superior Court on behalf of 14-year-old Toni Kay Scott, five other students at Redwood Middle School and their parents, challenging a dress code imposed by the school and the school district. According to the suit, Scott's parents asked the school to exempt her from the dress code, and she came to class on the first day of the 2005-06 school year wearing a denim skirt, a brown shirt with a pink border, and long socks with pictures of Tigger. 2007-03-03 06:28:01 The (mostly) suckfest continued this week with me wondering a lot of times if the judges were hearing the same performances I did. Here’s how I felt: 1) Phil Stacey - “Missing You” by John Waite - I actually think this guy has a great voice but it’s like he’s afraid to really sing until the last two lines of his songs. He’s got to get over this or become like Ace Young did for me last year. Starts out pretty strong, and initially thought to be a contender to being a “what could have been” in my eyes. Also, the tempo was a smidge too fast so it felt, to me, like he was sort of racing through the song. (tiggerprr side note: God help any of these boys if they start trying to do the Constantine creepy eyes at the camera thing.
