Tiscali COD4 P2P Update on Sony PS3: still connecting problems in Call of D
2008-02-06 14:16:00 With still 8 days to go before I’m connected to BT Broadband, I thought I would give you an update on the Tiscali COD4 P2P problem. I am able to get into games now when searching (although very slow at times), but trying to invite friends to games that are on Tiscali or if they try and invite me in is near impossible…it works rarely even to the point of switching off and walking away in frustration. So it looks like Tiscali still do not understand the difference between P2P gaming and torrent sites. Oh well, lucky for me in 8 days my problems should be over when I am on with BT. Passeggiando per l'immensa struttura con Mariani (CEO) e Meli (Digital TV Director) la tentazione è stata troppo forte: volevo rubare qualche anticipazione sull'imminente Tiscali TV, l'offerta IPTV+DTT che la multinazionale sarda sta per lanciare sul mercato. Come sapete il mio amore per la IPTV è praticamente nullo, la considero alla stregua di una TV via cavo governata delle stesse logiche della televisione classica, con in più il grosso limite di essere accessibile ai soli abbonati al gestore che fornisce il servizio.

2007-10-19 00:00:00 Oggi sono stato ospite di Tiscali a Cagliari insieme al gruppo Netwo. Siamo partiti da Milano e Roma incontrandoci poi all'aeroporto di Cagliari dove ci aspettava un pullman diretto alla sede principale di Tiscali. L'impatto visivo davanti all'intera struttura è fenomentale, specie con il bel sole di oggi. La tipica ospitalità sarda ci accompagna per tutto il giorno: dalle attenzioni alla colazione, dalla disponibilità ai modi. Iniziamo i lavori verso le 11, riporto qui solo gli appunti della mattinata perche' purtroppo ho finito la batteria poco prima di pranzo.
