Iron Man Tony Stark gets a Tesla before anyone else does. Must be nice!
2008-02-03 16:19:00 So, what's a guy gotta do in order to get on the Tesla preferred customer list? How about becoming a crime-fighting-billionaire-indu-strialist-and-inventor? It seems as if that would be enough, according to the screen-grab from the Iron Man Super Bowl ad above. The man who is iron has got a Tesla, in addition to some other pricey and less environmentally-friendly exotics. Questions have arisen over at Autoblog as to whether the Tesla deserves a parking spot among the other exotic machinery in Stark's garage. Our response: whatever, dude! Any billionaire worth his money-clip will surely be adding a Tesla to his arsenal of four-wheeled ticket-generators. He likely has a Koenigs-whatever in there too... just pan the shot back out a little bit. 2007-03-31 14:31:00 Filed under: Action & Adventure, Sci-Fi & Fantasy, Comic/Superhero/Geek, ImagesI haven't been following the approach of the Iron Man production very carefully -- shooting started on March 12 -- so I have nothing to say about this batch of apparently contraband pics except that I think Gwyneth Paltrow looks really good as a redhead. The photos, which are up over at Just Jared, show director Jon Favreau conversing with stars Robert Downey Jr. and Paltrow, who are dressed to the nines and apparently shooting some kind of chaste love scene. I don't see the pics on Favreau's MySpace page, so I assume that some enterprising set visiter just shot them via a cufflink-cam or some other hidden device. The ball got rolling for this film back in 2006 when the rights reverted from New Line Cinema to Marvel and they quickly put it into production. So far, what we know is that the villain will be Mandarin, and he will be played by Shaun Toub. We also know that Terrence Howard is playing... |
