The Hamster and James May were in the bullet train and their journey also included a shuttle bus, another train, a ferry, and a ____________ (can't say, don't want to spoil the surprise or the great soundtrack that plays during it). Jeremy got the GT-R and a 400-mile route to follow from western Japan thru Tokyo and across the bay to the finish. The floating train project is moving forward as part of a transportation bill signed by President Bush that puts aside $45 million for the 300 mile-per-hour train. Apparently there was a third, while I was out of pocket: NEWTON, Mass. -AP- Two commuter trains collided and derailed during the evening rush hour outside Boston on Wednesday, hurting several passengers and trapping and killing the operator of one train, according to published reports. The father of Terrese Edmonds, an operator of one train, told the Boston Globe that his daughter died during the collision. The crash came just hours after an elevated train derailed in Chicago, sending several people to hospitals in a wreck that officials quickly blamed on operator error. My Last Daily Post - the Moving Train is About Ready to Leave the Station

Clay Rapada was placed on the 15-day DL with bicep tenidinitis. Willis was out with a hyperextended knee and went 1-1 with a 4.41 ERA in three rehab starts in Triple-A. If you have a spot to reserve Willis, take a chance, but don't expect much. The only hope for him is playing behind a good Tigers offense that could get him some wins, but he hasn't looked good for some time.

A common complaint by MRT passengers is that it gets very crowded at peak periods and on many occasions, commuters are not able to get on the train. In February, 83 more train trips per week had been added. Now, SMRT is introducing even more trips. More than 50 per cent of these will be during weekday lunch times (noon-2pm), when waiting time will be halved to just three-and-a-half minutes, SMRT said.
