A Holiday in the Horizon?
2008-03-30 15:19:00 I think I have dropped enough hints to hubby these past few weeks through our conversations and through my other blog (yes he does read it..yey!) that I needed that long overdue vacation because today I saw his web browser opened to a website that offers packages and cheap flights. He has not said anything yet so the suspense is really killing me..lolz..The page was opened to packages to Indonesia so my guess would probably be Bali. Oh, that would be awesome because I really loved Bali. My last trip there was so great that I told myself I would return. Such beautiful beaches, sunset, shopping and don't forget the best massage I ever had anywhere.A vacation at last?? Stay tune :-)Cheerio...
Packing Smart
2008-01-19 07:08:00 Whenever we as a family go anyway for a holiday, it always ended up the ladies doing all the packing. So here are some tips on packing smart:Don't overpack. Always wear everything twiceStart with a basie of one basic colour. Opt for pants and shirts either in black, brown or navyBring colourful accessories to brightened up both day and night outfits. A scarf can double up as a sash or a wrap for your shouldersPack a few staples like jeans, white shirt, sneakers and denim jacketPack everything in extra large ziplock bags. The bags allow airport security to look through the items without unpacking the luggageLook for clothes that will not have to be ironed.Transfer things like shampoo and liquid soap into small plastic bottle especially with the airport rulings. If you are going to the US, your bag should be one with Transportation Security Administration (TSA)-recognised lock, so TSA officers can open the bag with a master key to physically check content, without having to cut the lo...

Travel Smart
2007-11-26 19:18:00 As a woman, whenever there is any family activities, it is always up to us to prepare all that is necessary for the event. This is especially so when planning a trip. It would probably be us that plan the itinerary, book the tickets (if planning a long trip), pack the bags and get all the necessary supplies for the travel. One thing that a lot of people forget is to pack some medical supplies as well. This would be your mini first aid kit that would include painkillers, plasters for wounds, bandages, ointment for stomach aches and even anti-diarrhea pills and antacid. Believe me, you'll be thankful for that little bag when any emergency happened in the middle of the night and anyone of the family members suffers a headache or even a mere stomachache. Travel smart ladies and avoid unnecessary headache on your end.Cheerio...
Let's Travel
2007-11-25 21:53:00 I'm going to start doing a travel bug category in this blog simply because I love to travel but just don't have the luxury and opportunity to do it often. So what I normally do is, if a place or location strikes my fancy, I'll search the internet for it and find out more about the location. This time Branson Missouri has caught my eye. I was blog hopping and chance upon a blogger from there and I wanted to find out more about that location. It seems that this place is home to dozens of world class attractions and is more of a tourist attraction if nothing else. According to Wikipedia, it is also known as "Family Friendly Las-Vegas". Interesting, I say...Cheerio...
Chinese Travel Bug
2007-11-20 17:31:00 {Ben Blanchard} Armed with backpacks, sleeping bags, budget travel guides, and hunger for a wider world long beyond their reach, backpackers from China are likely to be heading to a youth hostel near you.Loosened travel restrictions and a booming economy mean that growing numbers of young Chinese have visas and cash to travel abroad as never before ? and many of them are opting for the free-wheeling coming-of-age journeys of counterparts in the West.?Travel has changed my attitude toward the world in every aspect of life and work,? said Cao Jiyin, 24, a psychology graduate from the eastern city of Hangzhou, who last summer roamed around India. It?s a dramatic change from past decades, when Communist China was isolated from the world and travel abroad was a rare privilege available only to politically favoured elite. These days with more open borders and money in their pockets, most Chinese tourists opt for rigid package tours abroad. But a growing band of young Chinese travel independe...
