2008-05-11 16:23:00 Oh, it occurred to me that I took images of all these kitchens at KBIS to show you! I think you will see a good deal of modern design as well as dark, rich, browns. You'll also see a common thread of lights, such as creams, and browns, combined. I thought that was interesting. I did not see the same amount of black cabinetry that I did last year, although it is still seen. I was able to get some very good shots without people in them, and, short of a few shots that are, well, cockeyed, my new camera did an excellent job! On the heels of the usual shrieking media headlines, April numbers in Somerset County, New Jersey, showed the fourth consecutive month of improved major indexes. The first of them is the supply/demand ratio, the ratio of listings taken to sales made but not necessarily closed yet. That ratio, now at 43%, is only 5% off that of April of last year - before the mortgage crisis. Most important is that ratio is improving. The second of these indexes is the absorption rate, the number of months it will take at current rates of sale to sell off current inventory. In early January it was 11.6 months, February 10.7, March 9.0, April 8.7. Now, in May, it has dropped for the fifth consecutive month to 8 months.
