Some of your favorite truckers from season one are back along with new ones. This time the Ice road is the Arctic Ocean. The truckers are hauling equipment, and supplies to gas exploration sites. Temperatures can be as low as 60 below here. The difference on this road is drivers have to drive faster, and carry heaver loads. The new BioTrucker Fuel Card will not only help eco-ready truckers to find service stations that sell the biofuel, but can also save them at least a little bit at the pump. What's in the kit? Well, ways to reduce idling, add low rolling resistance tires, move to advanced aerodynamics, and upgrade the truck's exhaust after-treatment devices. The award from the Montana Department of Commerce will allow the Missoula-based company to train and employ 63 newly created truck-driving positions. It enables Watkins and Shepard to remove one of the significant barriers to people wanting to come into the industry — training costs, said Ray Kuntz, chief executive officer of Watkins and Shepard.
