Accounts Receivable Financing And The Trucking Industry Posted By : Kris Ko
2008-06-02 23:20:00
Many owners of trucking companies often face a very tricky situation. They will have clients who do not pay their invoice before the credit period of 30 to 60 days, while at the same time being in constant need of finance to pay off different expenses. Many graduates think that the six months they have before the required scheduled repayment of their various college debts seems like forever. The six months is nothing compared to the years and years of payments ahead of you. A consolidation of student loans can make the monthly much less painful. Read more about finance and student loans.

Trucking group proposes plan to cut fuel consumption and emissions
2008-05-12 21:09:00
There's a lot of discussion of late blaming the increased use of food crops for biofuel production for the rapid increase in food prices around the world. Unfortunately that's only a small part of the equation. The reality is that a bigger part of problem is the increase in fuel prices. After all, a lot oil has to be used to cultivate, fertilize, harvest and deliver food crops. With oil topping $120/barrel this week, the trucking industry is working on ways to reduce costs for operators. The American Trucking Association has come up with a six point plan that could cut fuel consumption by 86 billion gallons and CO2 emissions by 900 million tons over the next decade. Most of the points are pretty obvious such as setting truck speed governors to 68mph to reduce speeds, reduce idling fuel economy standards for trucks and highway infrastructure improvements to reduce congestion. One particular suggestion that could prove controversial is labeled as using more productive truck combinat...

Like the cost of living and paying more for groceries. Now people are losing homes because can afford to pay the mortgage. Truckers are not trucking because can?t afford to the gas without them we don?t get the food to the stores. Then airlines have gone out of business because of the gas prices. We are in troubled times the president needs to step up and be a leader. He need to start helping the American people and talk to oil companies. Although all this going on right now it is like president does not even seem to notice. People ask him questions about the economy Bush says it is getting better. The truth is it the economy is it getting worse. In reality, he has caused all this by his stupid ideas and decisions on everything during his presidency. He should talk to the American people right now ab...

Freight Factoring For Trucking Companies Posted By : Kris Koonar
2007-12-26 01:51:00
Most trucking companies have to pay in cash for their day-to-day expenses such as fuel bills and also have unexpected expenses such as truck repair bills and fixed expenses such as salaries, regular servicing and tire bills. That last time I used my credit card, I kicked myself. You see, I'm trying out this whole negative reinforcement thing. Anyway, the point is that we should try not to spend so much and start saving more. Maybe what's in order is a financial planning education course. Read more about finance and credit cards.

GPS for your car and trucking business
2007-11-19 21:01:00
Right now you can monitor your cars anywhere in United States and Canada using GPS Insight. If you have a company or even personal car you can use this state of the art technology to help you monitor the fuel expenses of your car. GPS before is only use to monitor your location especially if you are traveling in a desert without any signs and map. Most of the modern ships are now equipped with this technology to trace their location in the vast sea or ocean. Having a GPS which is directly connected to the satellite above will sent and receive signal from your location and thus will trace your location.Right now since not only the location can be trace but the activity of the remote location with GPS then it is no longer limited for moving vehicles but also use to know other information of the object or anything that’s has it. Like for example it can now learn how many liters of gasoline your car is consuming. Right now in this modern world where everything needs to be monitors, yo...
Keep on trucking
2007-11-19 05:12:00
In the space of a year, American truckers may travel 800 000 km. (500 000 miles) in their 18 wheel 'big rigs' - the equivalent of driving round the world more than 20 times. The speed limit in the USA is only 88 km/h (55 mph) and typical coast-to-coast journey can be 5000 km (3000 miles) each way. So truckers often work in pairs: one sleeps while the other drives. Husband-and-wife teams are not uncommon. Many trucks have a specially designed living space attached to the back of the driver's cabin. These 'sleepers' can be up to 3 m (10 ft) high and 2.4 m (8 ft) square. Their fittings may include a television, cooking facilities, shower, toilet and bed. The trucks' fuel consumption is enormous too: a large rig uses 30 litres of diesel per 100 km (9 mpg).Truckers are a breed apart. Spending so much time on the road away from their families creates enormous stress, so they have developed their own trucker community, conversing on CB radio and meeting at the many truck stops that do...
