I’m a short seller so I’m lookin’ and lookin’ for stuff to short and other than KYUS, which had no shares available…anywhere&helli-p;today at least, all I seem to find lately are perfect breakout plays of real companies! Charts like Third Wave Technologies, Inc. (TWTI), which I mentioned in this morning’s post, and now True Religion Apparel, Inc. (TRLG), which I just detailed in THIS AOL Finance post. While neither are right for PennyStocking or any short term trading for me, they both have a lot going for them and probly wouldn’t make such bad investments. (Uhhhh I can’t believe I just used the word “investents”. I feel dirty. Blehhhh.) But seriously TWTI is a pure play for testing HPV, an STD that’s infected 20 million Americans and 6 million new ones each year. Good business to be in, even if their losses are substantial…especially if it can truly confirm this breakout by cracking its 2001 $11 IPO price&hell...

Apparel company True Religion Apparel Inc affirmed its 2007 earnings outlook on Wednesday and said it has not seen any slowdown in consumer spending on its high-end clothes due to economic worries. True Religion President Michael Buckley said at a conference hosted by Wedbush Morgan Securities that the company still sees full-year earnings of $1.24 to $1.27 per share, with sales expected to rise about 20 percent to $167 million. Analysts, on average, expect profit of $1.27 per share on revenue of $167.4 million, according to Reuters Estimates. The company also said it is expanding its licensing deals and has a branded fragrance on the way. I have been traveling a bit in the past three weeks and one of my coworkers on this job happens to read a bit of philosophy, history, and religion, so our conversations during lunch are quite interesting. He happens to be very intrigued about the degree I am pursuing in theology and always asks me about why I am a Catholic and if my belief has been confirmed. Anyway, we started talking about religion and his search for the "true religion" and he proceeded to tell me that after so much searching and reading he had concluded that "true religion is individualistic." He referred to organized religion, but more or less to how the true search for God can only take place within an individual. He just does not believe that a religion should tell you how to find and understand God.I will write my thoughts later about what he said, but I would like to know how you would response to such claim?
